Importing games?

I wanted to know if I bought a game from USA and bring it to the UK, will I be stuck with the US severs like the PS3 setup, or isn't that the case anymore?

The reason I am asking this question is because I was told that isn't the case anymore.

This is not the case anymore, PS4 is region free, so you can buy a Japanese PS4 and play USA games on it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Like the PS3? What?
I bought PS3 CoD games from UK to AUS and it was'nt like that,I was in AUS lobbies, but thats P2P hosting so dedicates servers may be different.
My copy of Ghosts on PS4 is also imported and Im fine too with that.

Which games on PS3 were supposedly stuck on servers of region purchase? I would like to know.

Just keep in mind though as with PS3,games may be region free but DLC isnt.

I am talking about games like PES, etc. If you bought a USA version, you could only play people in the Americans.

Nope, it's been pretty well covered now that PS4 is region free. Feel free to get going on that Japanese RPG.... oh wait there are none.:(

LOL!

Is there any issue with online though regarding server, for example; if I got FIFA 14 from USA and brought it to the UK, would I only be able to play online on the American severs, or would I be able to use the UK/European servers?

Haha read the thread dude, that's the question I was answering! I don't think the discs have the 'region codes' on them. Unsure how to describe it but there's nothing on the disc to tell the PS4 whether it is American or Asian. Therefore it won't make a difference, you can play US servers with an Asian disc.

Cheers mate. I thought you were saying you can play a US disc on a UK PS4, which I am already aware of. I guess it doesn't make a difference then.
