Not really i think its a good series people should appreciate really i don't see it as a bad game i don't like it but its not bad, its for different people i used to love mario kart but no more :)

Well as long as they are making money off it, the games will keep on coming. To be fair they do reinvent the game every few years once things start getting repetitive.

...and I don't agree with the 'played one, played them all' sentiment. While a few games are indeed very similar, there are enough variations on the game's themes to keep fans happy.

No. And I say that as someone who has been playing Mario since he was a random sprite that jump over barrels thrown by Donkey Kong. Honestly, you can't say that Paper Mario is the same as Mario 64 or that Mario Galaxy is the same as Super Mario Bros. or that Mario RX is identical to Mario Party. If you've played one, then you've played one and that's really all you can say.

It does feel to me like they're running out of ideas. There are only so many ways you can stretch a character out. Personally, I would like to see the next Super Mario Brothers game be a departure from the standard like Super Mario Brothers 2 was. I know that the old formula works well, but I really wish they'd change it up.

I haven't played Mario games in a while. I watched a video of someone playing Mario Galaxies and the gameplay looked tedious. I do enjoy the Mario Kart series and hope that Nintendo never stops making that. I thought Mario Kart Double Dash was a little disappointing compared to Mario 64. I'd like to see Nintendo incorporate the Mario, Luigi and Bowser etc. characters into games with the other Nintendo characters like they did with Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis and Super Mario RPG. The 3D platform style of Mario is slowly losing its appeal. I think the series topped out with Mario 64.

Why would anyone quit the production of Mario games? Mario games constantly are amongst the top titles on the Nintendo consoles and on all consoles.

It's not like i mind, it's a success formula that they can keep putting out, but it isn't going to win any awards soon. If they want to remake the series as a good thing, they should try some new things, try to risk some ideas for a change!

I am getting a little annoyed with their sudden yearly/half-yearly/monthly release because Nintendo have so many awesome IPs that they could be exploiting instead, and it feels like the rush to get them out leaves them missing that extra bit of love that a Mario game hasn't had since the first Galaxy. It's like they're releasing them to make money because they know it will make money, instead of making awesome games that make money because they're awesome. That really saddens me.

It's still not quite as bad as CoD, but I really hope they don't get to that point.

I have completely stopped buying these Mario and Smash Bros games. I am so tired of it. I know, I am not the only one who is infuriated.

They've done a lot with the character, that's for sure. I think there is a little bit of both sides that are true; the 2D side-scrolling is getting a little played out, but you go and play Super Mario Galaxy and it's such an amazing world to be a part of. Hopefully they have more groundbreaking ideas in the vault. Heck, I'd be excited just to see another Mario Galaxy game.

I can't say I get tired of Mario games because I don't play them that often and when I do play them I usually have missed a bunch of games that I didn't even know came out. I also don't think they should top making them because there are certainly plenty of people that enjoy them, but I would love to see them try interesting things instead of "New Super Mario Bros. Wii-U Luigi skin edition".

My favorite game of all times is the Super Mario Brothers. I remembered playing this game a long time ago when I was a child with my siblings. I am now in my late 30's and still enjoy playing the Super Mario Bros Saga. Super Mario Bros games are classic and its a great game to play by both generations young and old. For me, I could never get tired of playing any Mario games and no they should never stop making them.

No, I am not. They continue to bring something new to the series, and honestly, even if they didn't, the formula is sound. It's like Tetris. No matter how many times you play it, you'll still find it interesting and fun to play those same levels again and again, even if you're just going a little tiny bit faster, or with a better score.

mario games will always be a classic but i dont now ho much longer they can drag the same storylines over and over again.

As Livvy said, there are different stories for each game... all of which are fun and unique. Let us not forget how solid the gameplay is. Am I tired of Mario? No, I love him! Do I go out of my way to play each new title in the franchise? No, not at all.

I have not bought or played one in years. They won't stop making them if they are continuing to find buyers for them. Some people will want them as a collectible too.

I grew up playing Nintendo games with my friends. They bring a joy to gaming that few other companies do. I hope Mario and Nintendo are around for another hundred years.
