Is anyone going to be conservative and wait?

Hey,

When I watched the 12 minute gameplay IGN had I immediately changed my mind about this game and doing further research e.g. discovering who made the game and the engine. It has made me decide to wait. The game is being made by those who participated in Dead Island and those games were arguably lacking. I mean sure they lived up the gameplay but the fact they marketed it an open world and the fact that everything broke every 3 hits. It made the game in my own opinion less than what was advertised and again I'm feeling the same is going to happen with Dying Light.

In the trailer you saw this massive open world with huge buildings and when you saw the 12 minute gameplay it did seem rather lacking. Sure it's pre alpha and I understand as we get closer we might see more but overall I'm going to wait a month or so after release because I don't want to do what I did with the Dead Island games and buy them full price and end up disliking them.

It looks like a good game, although I totally get what you're saying.

Hopefully they'll improve the interaction with the buildings and such and the freedom you get before launch.

Being such a huge fan of the Resident Evil series though I find it difficult to like any other zombie / survival horror games.

They're a pretty damn good benchmark!

Yes, yes I am. I'd love to buy a PS4 but I'm hoping the cost for console, games and controllers drop before I do so. I really want to save money where I can because the budget has been really tight lately.
