Is anyone here new to the PS4?

Im fairly new. I've been playing on an xbox for years. I have never tried the PS3 and am new to the PS4. I'm liking it much more then xbox. Although it has been a bit of an adjustment. I ended up selling my xbox. PS4 is by far the way to go.

It seems like Playstation is starting to take over. Xbox needs to step up their game.

I'm new to the PS4 insofar as I bought it at launch. But yes, last generation I too was an "Xbox gamer." I had a PS3 from time to time (long story) but ultimately opted for the 360. That said I will pick up an Xbone at some point--mostly for Halo--but it will not be my console of preference.

I dont feel like there are many games. I would love to get lost in an RPG but the wife nags the crap out of me if play for more than an hour...:(

I have been with PS since the first system, occasionally played xbox here and there but always preferred PS. The controller for xbox are for people with meaty bear hands, and I just think the overall layout was and still is a dumb idea.

If I ever decide to get an xbone, it will be because I am finally rich enough to spend money on things I probably wont use much. The next gaming platform I have set my sights on is PC

Thats true, the controller design for xbox is pretty lame. I made a good choice upgrading the the PS4. Ive never tried the xbox one and probably never will. I might be done with xbox all together.

My wrists occasionally hurt though with PS4 after about 1.5-2 hours of BF4. I also wonder how long these sticks are going to last as im pretty much slamming them down the entire time i play.

I'm new to ps4 (had a ps2 tho) not having problems with wrist; Maybe i'm holding the controller weird but it's making my left middle finger really sore from trying to hold down L3 for running around all the time in COD and battlefield I've tried holding it different ways but i'm even more useless if i keep my middle finger on L2 instead of under the controller. Hehe maybe i just need a break for a couple days.

PS fan since PS2, Sony makes best consoles, hands down.

no problem with the controller as my muscle memory is used to it. My hands get tired with 360's controller when I play with my friend though.

I've been with the Playstation since the PS1 phat. The first console I bought last generation was the PS3. I bought the 360 because I got bored with the games on Playstation after two generations. I returned to the PS brand this gen and bought the PS4 day one and never looked back to the Xbox. Playstation just suits my gaming needs better.

I played an XBox 360 and a One because my younger brother's preference is XBox. I can't get around the controller for some reason. It reminds me of an N64 or something. The PS controllers just feel right. Also, XBox doesn't have Uncharted, so, PS wins it for me. I doubt I'd get an XBox, I just don't like them, and there's nothing exclusive enough that begs for me to own one.

I went through two 360's thanks to RROD and also lost countless hours of game data, so Microsoft has left a sour taste in my mouth. I have an old "fattie" PS3 that I purchased when they first came out that I use as a BluRay player and it still runs like a champ. It's just a matter of build quality, I guess.

For me it's all about the games. Last gen I bought my 360 based solely because of PGR4 and my PS3 because of MGS4. This Gen I bought for a different reason. PS4 didn't force me to hook up a camera. I was all hyped up for WarThunder which has still not been released in North America. To me is a point against Sony considering it was a launch title and has been released in Europe. I am thinking heavily on my next console purchase. Do I get another PS4 so I can game with my sons? Do I pick up a XBOX ONE so we can try something different?
