Is Oblivion Game of the Year edition worth playing on PS3?

I can pick up the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition for about $10 from a store near me (includes Oblivion + Shivering Isles + Knights of the Nine), is it worth buying? I've heard Oblivion on PS3 is very buggy, so I'm kind of worried about that, but for 10 bucks I might be willing to take the risk

Oblivion is an amazing game that can keep you very entertained for weeks. Yes there are bugs but those very rarely are game breaking.

It would be money very well spent

Interesting, thanks for the feedback man, I'll probably have to check it out then!

Going to be really honest with you, Bethesda games are best played on PC, not just because of the HUGE (really, the amount of things keep getting bigger each year) mod support that they have, but also because they run better and have more fixes to them, so you can get a better experience.

I would also prefer the PC version for such games but if that is not possible because of whatever reason I don't think you can go wrong with it on the PS3 either.

Well... it's 10 bucks so the big question is whether or not you're okay with gambling that money on what may or may not be a great gaming experience. I will say that for myself I really enjoyed the GOTY edition - I loved the main game and rather enjoyed Shivering Isles... I was rather less enamored of the Nine, but the ending of that particular setting made up for quite a lot. That said I will freely admit that I played on the 360 so... yeah.

Well if you haven't played the game at all, then go ahead and get it. Since it's only $10, I would suggest you really get it. It's a fun and great game overall and I certainly enjoyed playing it. However, there are many exploits within the game. I remember doing the scroll duplication glitch for some massive amounts of money. The graphics aren't the greatest and nothing close to Skyrim graphics, but it's about the content right?

I mean, it's a Bethesda game, so it'll probably be buggy as all hell, but uh, as with most other Bethesda games, the bugs are worth it.

Well if youve played skyrim, playing oblivion will be really hard to do as youll think the combat is boring, but story/quest wise it is 100x better than skyrim. Its a great game and you should definitely get the GOTY edition considering its only probably like 10-20 bucks for hundreds of hours of fun times. Plus the shivering isles DLC is one of the best DLC's ive seen bethesda make.
