Is the PS Vita worth the money?

Is the PS Vita worth the money? I am not sure on whether to get one or not. Is an Ipod touch for example better? Or how about the normal PSP?

I don't understand what you mean? Do you consider the Vita to be a media tool like a mp3 player? It isn't - it's a handheld and it is somewhat lacking in a library, but I have it and I do enjoy it.

If you are a huge weeaboo and / or can understand japanese, this might be the system for you. If you don't, then just go with a regular psp, custom firmware on that thing and put a bunch of stuff in there, you got a huge library to play!

Now, when you compare it to something that isn't game related, then i don't know the question to your answer.

I think it's great if you're a Playstation "True believer". To be honest, though, for the price and the amount of games, it's not worth it for the casual gamer. There are not a lot of games getting released on it so i really wouldn't take the risk of purchasing it.

You can always get it if you really want it. An iPod touch isn't really comparable to the Vita. They are really not made for gaming, but rather music, etc. I'm not getting the Vita since I bought the PSP years before. That ended my handheld gaming career.

Well I did mean games on Ipod touch v the PS Vita but I realise now that was a bad decision! I am probably not going to get it as I don't really play portable games much as I am a casual gamer. I think I will probably get an Ipod Touch as it has plenty of good free games. I'll just stick with the PS3.

Give it another year or two and the Vita will have a way bigger library and a price cut and will definitely be worth it. Until then, I'd say wait a bit or maybe even go for a 3DS if you really want a handheld. A PSP is a good investment too.

I wouldn't buy it. Maybe when the price drops I will, but at the moment it doesn't seem worth it.

I am still using my PSP2000. I think it's not worth getting the Vita because of its price and the games so far are very limited. You can play way more games with the old PSP. We can't say how things are going to be a year or two from now, but I suggest you grab an old PSP if you can and just use that for now.

Yes, it is worth every single dime, especially after being attached to PS4 in such a way that you kinda have to buy it.

It's not worth it if you have an PSP already but if you don't, then it's really worth it. It's really comparable to a Ipod touch but it can play better games on it. If your tight on budget, just get a PSP 3000 as it is would fulfill your needs just as well.

I think it's worth the money, atleast for a gamer like me. I have to travel a lot and I can't take me ps3 with me everywhere. So, I usually get bored a lot in the huge distance that I travel, so it is really worth the money for me atleast.

It depends on how many games their are that you want on the Vita. At the end of the day, the system is all about playing games. If you can't think of many games you want for Vita, I would get a PSP and dig through its catalog. Their are obviously a lot more PSP games to choose from.

This has been discussed a few times, I mean, you can get an amazing Vita package. The console, 7 games and then be able to use it with the PS 4. If you were planning on putting money into any motion detection, I think this is a better investment. I really enjoy it when I use it.
