Is the PS3 already considered Last Generation?

PS3= Last gen, PS4= Current gen, PS?= Next gen. That being said the PS3 is far from done. Even though I picked up a couple PS'4 I have no intention of getting rid of my PS3's. They can do things that the PS4 can't(at least not yet). They will be with me for a very long time.

Well it just depends really, because the ps3 is still being used and everyone might not even get the ps4. Many still use the ps2 and they do not even have a ps3. I mean I can see where you are going with this though with the whole generation thing.
