Is the Wii the worst console ?

Most of the people I've talked to consider the Wii as the worst of the top three consoles on the market. The PlayStation 3 seems to take the first spot, with Microsoft's Xbox 360 close on its tail on second place,... while the Nintendo Wii is far behind in the gamers' preferences.

What do you think? Is the Wii that unpopular? How do you like it, compared to the PlayStation?

I think most "hardcore" gamers don't like the Wii because it's aimed more at the casual gamer. It's meant to draw in people who wouldn't normally play a video game, so it's full of easy, forgettable-but-enjoyable games. The PS3/Xbox/etc., however, have more "hardcore" games so of course the hardcore gamers like them better. Most non-hardcore gamers, though, probably like the Wii the best.

I don't think the Wii is the worst console out there. I actually like the Wii console, it's the one we play the most after the ps3. I bet it's rated so low because you don't play the kill-em, shoot-em up, killer games. Wii games are more up and active.

I am not a hard-core gamer, and I like the Wii. I will say I prefer the Kinect, for my Xbox 360, better. I think the Kinect technology is cooler. I think the Wii provides more family game night party games, than the Kinect. So, the Wii is not the worst console, it just caters to different people.

I agree with Mino-it's more for mainstream as opposed to hardcore gamers. There's too many different things you can do with it for it to have excelled at advanced graphics too.

I think the Wii is great, I just use it for a different type of game than the PS3 and Xbox. It is for more casual gaming but I don't dislike it. I don't think it's the worst console but it's not my favorite console.
