It looks like Nex-Gen Tomb Raider is Probable

The title would be Lara Croft: Reflections but there is a question of whether or not it's the next-gen Tomb Raider game based off of the recent reboot or a collection of previous games. So far all that we have is a screenshot and a few registrations done by Square Enix. I'm hoping for a new Tomb Raider only because of the potential of the reboot.

Tomb Raider?

A Tomb Raider on PS4 is a given. I'm not a big Tomb Raider fan, but if all of a sudden it was decided that it wouldn't be on a PS system I'd have to ask who's puppy did Yoshida kick and did he vandalize their belongings after he did it.

Figures as much. The series just recently got a reboot and it, apparently, turned out pretty well, so I'd definitely think they'd want to capitalize on that.

I'm not surprised by a new Tomb Raider, just surprised by how soon we're hearing about it. I really thought that their wouldn't be any rumbling about it until 2015 or at least until next year's E3. Good job on them for getting the word out though, build the hype now before we get our minds blown by the new PS4 lineup.

Hopefully it's a continuation of the new revised Lara. I absolutely loved the Tomb Raider remake and it felt more adventurous and fun. Don't get me wrong, I loved Lara as a kid, but as games go by, we're getting farther and farther away from crazy characters and focusing more on serious stories which is a plus to me. Sure, the old Tomb Raiders were fun platformers, but that's kind of all they were. Terrible story, really awful voice acting and bad puns. The new one was emotional, intense, and beautiful. I'd love to see what they do with this new Lara. Maybe make the game take place a year or so after her little adventure, since that's what "Crafted her into the woman she is today."

Plus Lara had this huge forehead in the first two Tomb Raiders. In the first I didn't care because the games were fun (but as you said, looking back there wasn't much there, just a female Indiana Jones, some fun platforming, and some pretty damn cool graphics for it's time). In the second one it was like "Oh, it's still there."

Anyway, with the awesome storyline direction of the last Tomb Raider and how it breathed some life into a franchise that seemed to lose its way for the most part, I'd like for them to keep going this way.

Seeing as the last one was a huge hit, I'm not surprised that they'd want to come out with a new one. In fact, I'd be surprised if they didn't. :D I have my own wishes as to how I'd like the new version to be tweaked, but they did a good enough job with the previous one that I wouldn't really care if they kept it as is.

It's good that the sequel looks pretty official. I am hoping that they finally get out of the growing pains phase because I did have issues with the reboot. First they need to tighten up the story, Lara got to into killing to quickly for me. Second the gameplay was a bit repetitive so I'd like a bit of a change up there. Really there were a bunch of little flaws that didn't let the game live up to it's potential but I've got high hopes for the next one.
