It's DADLIEST Catch, Not Deadliest!

I am so excited for this game.

Honestly, this is what's selling the PS4 for me. I kid you not.

If you haven't heard of Octodad, here's what you're missing:

- You are a loving husband;
- You are a fantastic father;
- YOU ARE SECRETLY AN OCTOPUS.

You need to walk around and interact with people - as an octopus - trying not to be detected. Sound easy? It's not. You control legs and arms independently. In some cases, such as the opening, you need to get yourself down the aisle to your blushing bride without knocking things over; EVERYONE IS LOOKING AT YOU!

If you've not seen this, go check out their website; they also offer a FREE download of the original Octodad (a school project) that's pretty fun. Not at all as polished, but still fun.

Honestly, I had no idea what you were talking about and thought you made a typo, then I googled it. This game looks hilarious and fun. I really enjoy "off the wall" games like this, my favorite is Conkers Bad Fur Day, they were always so fun. It is a nice change of pace from all the serious games.

I love Octodad and the team and this game looks awesome. If you want to understand the sense of humor of the team just watch The Skinning of Octodad on Youtube. It's just a video of all the glitches that have been happening during development of Dadliest Catch and it's so good. I loved Octodad so I can't wait for the new one.

This is the kind of game where I would not be annoyed with a full line of merchandise. I'd snap up an Octodad doll in a second. Honestly, if anything sells a PlayStation 4 to me, it'll be Octodad: Dadliest Catch -- the name alone was enough to suck me in.

And you know it's a winner when you aren't totally repulsed by the school project version of the game in the first place.

AND, GUYS: Even the writing is good! THE WRITING. IN A SCHOOL TEAM!

Octodad was a surprise for me. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did, and I recommend it to all of my friends. I was bummed when they delayed this one but still seeing it on the PS4 would be amazing. The sense of humor of the devs is great, and the fact that they were in school when they made the original just shows how talented they are. I hope they stay together as a team and go indie.

I loved the original Octodad even though it had some small flaws so it's nice to see the new one getting some much needed attention. I'm still bummed about the delay but that video is amazing and shows that this team has potential to be great on the indie scene. Hopefully they are also taking care of some of the control issues that the original Octodad had.

Ocotdad was so good. One of my favorite indie games so it's still shocking to find out that it was made by a bunch of students. I'm really looking forward to the new one, and I'm hoping for the best. This team is incredibly talented and I'm also hoping that they stick together and develop new ips. The indie world always needs another great dev.

It's just a fun and silly title. I've seen some reviewers playing through a licensed demo and you can really see the improvement from the first one to Dadliest Catch. The team has matured, and you can see that they actually have funding. It looks like a real game and not just a project. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
