LA Noire

LA Noire is a really fun game to play on PS3. I have been playing for about a month and I think I'm going to end up beating it soon. I do wonder if there is anything to do after you beat the story of the game though. Are there enough side missions to keep me playing?

I haven't played LA Noire yet but I've been meaning to for ages! It looks like a lot of fun. There aren't enough good mystery games out there, haha!

LA Noire is great, Mino, and if you like mysteries I definitely recommend it. Sometimes I get so into the game that I get creeped out by some of the things. Right now I've just made it into Vice. It's a lot of fun.

LA Noire sounds like something I'd love. I was just reading a review of it which said that it was a blend of gaming and cinematic entertainment. This strikes me as sort of an interactive mystery.

That's exactly how I would describe it. It's a lot like playing a movie, like I've told others. The music is amazing too. The story is great, very interesting. Sometimes I'm not interested in a character's back story but that certainly was not the case with Detective Phelps.

Wow, so it even has a great musical score! This really does sound like an interactive movie where you become part of the film yourself. As someone who loves movies, mysteries, music, and games, I have a feeling I won't want to stop once I start playing LA Noire!

I think the musical score is great. If I found out it was available I would probably buy just a copy of that. Sometimes I listen to the music on Youtube. It's very ominous and sets the time period really well. It's the first game where I've actually loved the soundtrack.

Wow, LA Noire sounds like a really awesome game! I love that it's even got a great soundtrack. Game soundtracks are really important to me, however sily that sounds. If a game's got a bad soundtrack I actually want to play it less. :P

That doesn't sound silly to me at all, Teagan. Even if you don't love music which I guess most of us do, you really can't get around a bad soundtrack. It's just like when you have bad graphics. It spoils what would otherwise be a great game.

I agree with both of you. Bad music (and of course graphics) can destroy what would otherwise be a good game. I guess that's another discussion though. If you like a good soundtrack LA Noire is a good choice.

I had not planned on playing LA Noire, but everyone has made it sound like a good game. I might check out Play n Trade, to see if I can play LA Noire there, before buying it.

LA Noire looks like it's a really fun game, but I can't quite get past the art design on it. I know it's amazing and high-tech and all of that, but the end result is very "Uncanny Valley" for me.

I finished playing LA Noire not long ago and I thought it was great. The ending is very unfortunate for the main character. I didn't like the switching off of characters near the end of the game though. I would have preferred to play as Cole the whole game, though I know it wouldn't have worked well with the story.

We just received L.A. Noire through Gamefly a few days ago and so far, we're loving it! I didn't know it was three discs long, though! I'm excited to see just how long it will take us to beat the game. Does anyone else have trouble telling when the person they're interrogating is lying/telling the truth? We almost always guess wrong!

This game was great for me, and getting platinum for it was awesome too! The gameplay, mystery solving, music, story, it's all so much fun to do. Playing a movie is the best way I can think of to describe. It's like a GTA taking place just after WW2, except you're the good guy!

L.A Noire is a fantastic game! I originally started playing as I love puzzle games so playing a police officer finding evidence and
piecing them up to find the criminal was perfect. It's a stunning game and the world is very vast, what else should have I expected
from RockStar games though? The facial expressions are simply breathe-taking and the stories are fantastic! There are so many
side quests and crimes to solve, there's plenty of hours of gameplay and also replay value. I really do recommend it.

It was really a great game, also the DLC stories were also cool. Too bad it didn't have the freedom of a GTA or Saint's Row title, but still, an experience that everyone else should try when possible.

Awesome game! I love the fact that there will be different outcomes for each thing you choose. They also give you little hints, and it makes you feel like you're actually a police officer.

I've also heard that the interrogation questions and techniques are really similar to real life situations. Definitely an interesting and fun game if you're into the mystery or problem-solving genre.

LA Noire is a really good game. If you are a fan of the CSI series, I strongly recommend buying this game. When playing this game you get satisfaction when you solved a crime, and the characters are so in-depth. The shooting action in this game will keep you involved. Overall it's an awesome game!

LA Noire was extremely good. But very long (took me 24 hours to complete everything - DLC included) and not something you can really play a second time through. But it's a Rockstar title, and to me they can do no wrong.
