Leading game developers at the moment

So who do you think are the leading game developers at the moment? Of course Rockstar probably is but besides from that. There are really good game developers out there but not many people know them because they are not featured as much as bigger devolopers. So who do you think should be noticed for their good work?

Platinum games is the first one that comes to mind. I don't think that there is a game that they released that it isn't good.

Yeah, Rockstar is the first developer that comes to mind. Obviously they are a massive developer, but all of Blizzard's recent games have been really good. Naughty Dog has developed a ton of great games as well, like the Uncharted games, Jak and Dexter and The Last of Us.

Rockstar comes to mind right away, but besides that I would agree with Mikey Paine and say Naughty Dog. The Last of Us was hugely popular, as are the Uncharted games. I also think EA and DICE are doing a good job hyping up BF4, I know I'm excited.

I would defintely name CD Project Red here. These guys are awesome. Simply too good. Their ethics, code of conduct and the way the treat gamers is not something you see from other devs too often.

CD Project Red is a good one. I can't wait for the Witcher 3.

My vote goes to Bethesda. They're kind of like Rockstar because you know what you're getting yourself into. Their games are all pretty buggy and have practically the same graphics but they make fantastic experiences.

Yep, definitively Rockstar. GTA alone is so incredible they deserve that lead.

As everybody else has said: Rockstar. But aside from that I would probably say Naughty Dog. Especially after The Last of Us (which I've yet to play)

Rockstar for sure, they've got millions of fans, and Loyal fans I must say. I just don't buy any game by other companies. They're my favorite from years. I've bought most of the games released by them. The last game I bought was Red Dead Redemption which was pretty awesome.

As far as notable ones: Naughty Dog, Rockstar, Bungie, and DICE are some of the first names that come to mind.

As far as less notable ones: Supergiant Games (Bastion, Transistor), Double Fine (Tim Schafer's company. Made Pyschonauts and Brutal Legend, and they've been pumping out games lately), thatgamecompany (Flower and Journey), Telltale Games (they made the Walking Dead episodic games).

I really like the games that Santa Monica Studios comes out with. They have their AAA titles like the God of War series but they also make a lot of lower budget games that try to do something different. For example, the Pixel Junk series, Fat Princess ( a favourite of mine), Flower and Journey. As a gamer, I can really appreciate a studio that makes the big budget blockbusters but also has the resources for smaller, artsy projects as well.
The other developer I really like is Quantic Dream. They made Heavy Rain which is one of the most original games available for any of the consoles. I can't wait for Beyond Two Souls.

Rockstar, Naughty Dog, Platinum, Bethesda, Altus, and Suda51. I like Rockstar for Max Payne, GTA, and assorted others. I like Naughty Dog because Uncharted and Last of Us. I like Platinum because they consistently release quality products. I like Altus because they release great games with weird concepts. And I like Suda51 because I enjoy weird games that I can't properly explain to my friends.

I never knew that God of War and Journey had the same developer, that's pretty neat.

I already said Blizzard, but I'd vote for Bethesda as well. I don't really like any of the Elder Scrolls games, but Skyrim was incredibly popular. I do like Fallout 3 and New Vegas though.
