Legend of Legaia

One of the earliest RPG games that I have played for the PS 1 is the Legend of Legaia. It tells the tale of Vahn, a valiant warrior in a small village and 2 other allies (I forgot their names) to rid the world of the dangerous mist that transforms living things into evil creatures. The story is simple but it's very satisfying especially when you reach the end. The combat is like Xenogears where there are 3 types of basic attacks. You could also perform special attacks and combos and other magic to aid you in your quest. It was one of those little gems that made me proud to own a PS 1.

Anybody else here who played this game?

It was one of my favorite games actually. The concept was awesome, but it did not age well graphics wise. I'd love to see a true remake of that game, but I'm weird. I'd like to see a LEGEND OF DRAGOON remake too.

Lol. True. The characters looked so pixelated while exploring the world. But during the fight scenes, the characters looked like they were pulled from a Tekken game. Still, I think that the small, cutely deformed characters form part of the charm of Legend of Legaia. A remake would be great too! It's one of the most satisfying RPGs that I have played. As for Legend of Dragoon? Ahh, that warrants another thread I think.

I like the look of the characters, but that's mostly because I enjoyed them when they first came out. There are a lot of games that I enjoy for nostalgia purposes. Early 3D attempts do not age well, but they still look cool. I simply loved the premise of that game as well. I felt like I was kicking so much epic bootay.
