Level 20 Frustrations

I finally got to level 20 the other day. But it seems that I'm not gaining any XP points since then, despite running several more bounties. Do they either go up REALLY REALLY slowly, or do you have to go about it another way? Wondering how the heck everybody is getting up to Level 27 and higher.

Also, how the heck do you get more Vanguard marks so you can buy Legendary Gear? I suck at the Crucible because I've gotten paired with people in the high 20's so I get my butt kicked before I get a shot off.

I created a Titan that I have at Level 7 right now, figured maybe that'd be a way to do Crucible... but I wanted to ask these questions before I put anymore effort into it.

You need to do random strike missions then get better armour which give you " light ". Light mages you level up.

Rob, once you reach lvl. 20 you will not need XP points much. To get to higher levels you have to accomplish strike missions, raids, public events, etc.

Quickest way is to play strike missions. You'll get better gear etc. equip them then you'll level up.

Rob focus on bounties, strikes, and public events. That should give you 100 marks per week so use them wisely. Once you have purchased your legendary armor, upgrade to the max and start doing vanguard tiger strikes.

Also, upgrade your cryptark as much as possible with blue ingram drops. Keep collecting and take to cryptark. Once he levels up, you got a chance to get better armor or better gifts.

Yeah, follow the advice of others here. You basically just gotta keep playing, mostly raids and strikes and even higher level story missions will get you armor and other upgrade materials. I'm pretty much at the point right now where I have almost all legendary armor. I'm finding myself doing patrols just to get helium coils and spirit blooms and stuff like that. I've found some good stuff in loot chests, but don't rely on that. Its rare when it gives you anything useful besides glimmer, crappy engrams and that planets upgrade material (spinmetal, relic iron, etc).

I've played the game about three hours a day for the last couple of days. I think I'm finally 3/4 of the way to Level 21. Dang this is gonna take a while. I got most of the way by playing the daily (weekly?) heroic mission... it was a story mission, something Onyx.. I don't remember. But my little yellow Level bar wasn't very long when I started it and it jumped a LOT during that game. I also have a 38 Vanguard marks at the moment. At 65 I can buy my first Legendary gear.

I know it's not a big deal to some, but WOO I made Level 21 a few minutes ago! Hahaha... bout 'time, only taken me several WEEKS. Now that I know the way, maybe it won't take so long to level up more.

BTW, I have a Level 9 Titan also. Is there a good reason to keep leveling him up, since my main character is a Warlock?
