Looking for any Metroidvania Games

Like the title says, I want a metroidvania game. A metroidvania game is a sub-genre of 2D action-adventure platform video games involving non-linear exploration and gaining new abilities to access otherwise closed off areas. Are there any games similar to that on the Vita? I haven't checked in quite some type. I tried out Attack of the killer blob and it was a nice 2-d platformer but once it got to the later levels the puzzles are just crazy hard and I don't really like doing puzzles. i want to mindlessly go around and shoot things and explore in a 2-D environment.

Ooo I checked out that game and it looks fun. Not really Metroid-vania but a side scrolling action game which isn't half bad either.

Guacamelee is pretty much the same as Metroid in its setup and exploration, the only major difference being that you beat up things instead of shooting them.

Includes a speedrun leaderboards, separated by difficulty and completion.

Anything called Guacamelee should be an award winner. Just saying. I absolutely love the name. The game looks fun too

Guacamelee! is an extremely fun game. It's very Metroidvania-ish and has an awesome art style.

I can throw my hat in on Guacamelee. Definitely worth picking up if you want a Metroidvania title that isn't Castlevania.
