MAME anyone?

I'm just a huge fan of those classic arcade games i grew up with and i've got almost a complete collection of roms. I was wondering if any of you like playing these old games as much as i do. I mean, i know they're old, but i think that's the charm of it. Any MAME players in here?

What is... MAME? I Googled it, naturally, and visited the website--of course!--but am still puzzled by it. Is it just an emulator that plays arcade games? For the life of me I do not even understand how that is possible, but I am entirely intrigued.

I love MAME, I bought an SNK Arcade just for it. It's pretty sweet.

I had MAME, with MAME I was able to play a lot of arcade games I never got to played because I was underage. When I grew up, arcades were gone so MAME let me lived my dream. I played a lot of arcade games on it like Avengers, Superman, Super Street Fighter 2, and a bunch of others.

MAME has a list of arcade greats. However, I was only able to play Virtua Fighter and Sly Spy. There was this arcade game from Atari which I have been looking, and the title of that game was Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters. The gameplay is a lot like Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

It's an arcade emulator. You can play all those games from the 80s and 90s. You just download the emulator and get some game roms. That's it, you're good to go. And there are thousands of roms, so it's really hard getting bored with these classic games.

I will look into it, cheers. How exactly does one take an arcade game... and turn it into a ROM? Haha.
