Mechanical keyboard?

Do any of you guys here who game on PC use a mechanical keyboard?

I picked one up with Cherry Brown switches (For typing) the other day and am impressed. My typing speed has only gone up by 15WPM but typing is so much more satisfying, can't wait to try it out on some games too although if that was my intention I probably should have gotten one with Cherry Red or Cherry Black switches.

I can not say that I have ever owned one or really plan on getting one. I mean I guess they sound cool but I have always been fine with my keyboard, never had an issue with it, so I never thought to consider getting a new one.
Are they really that much of an improvement over regular keyboards?

Mechanical keyboards drastically change the PC gaming experience. They are just so much more comfortable and pleasurable to type and game on that anyone that has one will recommend it. I have the Corsair K60, and it is a really nice keyboard for a really nice price. I got this refurbished from their site for about $50 and it was an absolute steal. I would look for mech keyboards that are on sale and have a good reputation as they can often times be very expensive, at least compared to regular keyboards.

Yeah I'm using one, I bought it a few months ago and I'm satisfied. They are pretty expensive but it's worth the money. Everything just feels much smoother, I love the clicking sounds (I have red switches) and it's just more comfortable. I bought it mainly for Starcraft2 but honestly even for daily use it makes a big difference. Oh yeah and also they last a lot longer than membrane keyboards, so it's really a good investment.
