Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes Classic Snake Extended Trailer

Last night, at the Playstation 4 launch event in New York, Hideo Kojima launched a special trailer with Classic Snake as a select-able skin and level with Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid 1. Today, the Official Playstation Blog posted an extended trailer to the Deja Vu mission announcement.

Hideo Kojima created this mission for the fans as well as a thank you to Sony for 15 years of Metal Gear Solid on Playstation!

That's amazing. While it doesn't change my mind about buying the game ( I was already all in) it's nice to acknowledge a little history especially when people are still upset about Hayter being gone. Although I could be cynical in saying that it's a way for Kojima to quite down people who are complaining about Quiet. Still I like it.

That would be completely amazing! I would actually be happy to have been trolled if that happens. Cross our fingers! Also thanks guys for showing some love on this thread, I love Metal Gear (I even made a machinima production called CpmStudios in 2006 when MGS3: Subsistence was released and we're STILL doing MGS machinima) That's how much I love it!

Yeah, though for me it's really just admiring Kojima and his never say die attitude. He's gotten bashed pretty badly or the past few months but I like that he didn't cave and hung in there. And now the fake Quiet controversy is over and we can focus on how awesome this game is going to be.

We just expect him to troll us; hard. There is no way in hell he is going to just give us a trailer that will make us go 'oh that's cool'. It has to be "what the... is this MGS? what is this? It looks like mgs but it doesn't. I dont even..." Then it turns out it is MGS and we're like "bwahha you genius Kojima". What if David Hayter really is back? Kiefer is just a filler? Or not, who knows. Damn it Kojima.

Kojima really is one to troll isn't he. It wouldn't be Metal Gear and he wouldn't be Kojima if he didn't. It's gotten to the point where we expect a trolling so we never take anything that he say's at face value. If Miyamoto is the nice guy who'll shake your hand, Kojima is the guy whose hiding an electric buzzer in his palm. But still it really is a pretty cool bonus. Maybe it's a way to say, "Hey David's gone, but it'll be cool".
