Metro: Redux Collection coming to PS4?

Were you a fan of the original Metro 2033 or its sequel Metro Last Light? Wish you could play them on the PS4? Well according to an Italian website (which has removed its original post) it looks like your wish may come true.

METRO: REDUX would be combining both games (with 2033 being a total re-master) in the series as well as all the DLC for both titles. It will also be bundled with the original soundtracks for both games and a collection of art cards. All of this will apparently be available later this year!

Just remember that this is not official as of yet! (although with the current trend of next/current-gen ports of previous PS3 games, I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be true.)

If true Id consider it,I did download Metro Last Light free on PS3 as PS+ subscriber but havent played it yet.

I liked Metro Last Light but honestly unless its a fair price (not like £40-60) then I'll consider getting it. I think these remakes aren't worth much, because all you're getting is a slight graphics and engine boost. Like Tomb Raider Definitive edition, all it had was better graphics and a little smoother gameplay, not exactly worth £40 odd.

Well its been confirmed,it's true.
Each will be available as a download though seperately or as a 2 pack hard copy.

The new versions of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light include "never-seen-before" content and new gameplay features, as well as "outstanding graphical fidelity," though it's not mentioned if the games will actually run in 1080p. Both games will run at 60fps.
UPDATE: Confirmed since then that it will be 1080P on PS4 at least.

Deep Silver says gameplay has been improved "radically," and now includes "advanced enemy AI, improved combat and stealth mechanics, superior weapon handling, and more responsive, intuitive controls." Visuals have also been boosted, now featuring "advanced lighting, dynamic weather, more detailed characters with improved animation, more dynamic destruction, and improved smoke, fire, and particle effects."

New melee animations are also included with Metro Redux, as well as the fan-requested Check Watch and Check Inventory features. The game also includes all previously released expansion packs, which Deep Silver says totals around 10 hours of extra gameplay.

As I said in my previous post Id still consider it but since this topic started I have actually started the PS3 version of the game (downloaded as free game as PS+ member).
But Im not far in yet.

Should I delete it and wait for the PS4 version so I can play it on that as well as Metro 2033? Would be cool but man...I dunno..

It's $25 each game right? So 50 for both? Haven't really played the series. Heard the story was good, but that's about it. 60FPS/1080p confirmed I believe. Is it like a FEAR type of game?

Yeah, I saw it was confirmed. Sounds good but I still haven't touched either game and I, as I said, I have both of them already. I'm gonna skip Redux.

I am honestly not too sure how I feel about this whole re-releasing games on the PS4. It is nice on one hand, but somewhat discouraging on the other. I have yet to play The Last of Us so indeed I look forward to playing that on my PS4, but I cannot help and feel that it is a mere cash-grab. The Metro games are good, but I do not think they really warrant a re-release...

I played 2033 but skipped Last Light. Even so, I don't think I'll be getting this redux version. All this 1080p remakes are getting out of hand lol. Anyway, it's good to know that the devs comfirmed that the games will run at 1080p/60fps on the PS4.
