Microsoft Confirms 360 Headset Adapter for Xbox One - IGN

After rumors were abound, Microsoft has now confirmed that headsets for the Xbox 360 will be able to work on the Xbox One. There is a catch however, as the owner will have to purchase an adapter in order for the headset to work. Microsoft have also confirmed that the adapter will have to be purchased separately. Well, I guess it's better than nothing.

Yeah, Microsoft always love to make gamers spend more than they could chew. First, it was an always online system and then a U turn into the same old classic rules. Then, they said there won't be headsets bundled but now one has to purchase an adapter. It's almost all the same. Kinect looks good but if PS4 gets a sophisticated PS Eye soon, the race will be equal and much more interesting.

It's good that they've made it , but very bad that it's not included in the bundle with the console. It just feels like Microsoft are cutting a lot of corners here and it really is showing. It's not a major thing, but I think that it's the little things that will win this generations console war. Because both consoles are very similar, it's these little bits that people are looking for, and Microsoft simply isn't delivering them.
