Minecraft PS3 playable on PS4 ?

Can i buy now the PS3 version of Minecraft and play it on my PS4 or doesn't run on PS4 and i have to wait for the release of Minecraft PS4 version ?

When it does run, are there any disadvantages of the PS3 version against the pS4 version ?

Short answer is no, it doesn't run on the PS4.

As of yet there is no release date for MC on PS4.

Aah well, then wait for the PS4 version which should be released this summer i read.

When I was hugely into Minecraft on the 360, what I learned to expect with Mohjang is when they give a date, is to add on 4 weeks to the original date, and then another couple of weeks just to be sure

Most important for me is that it WILL be released for PS4.

Considering how Notch cancelled it's VR development with Occulus, after the whole Facebook thing... It's only logical he'll shift gears to the Morpheus now!
