Modding PS3 controllers

So I see controllers that have LED's in them, so is it easy to do and cheap of course. I would do it but I have a history of messing up controllers as I broke one by opening it and the other one has the back triggers broke. Also I see a mod which can make ordinary guns go full auto in games. How does that work?

Modded Sony Controllers that add turbo fire guns still can only fire as fast as the game lets it,if you know what I mean.For eg if you could press the fire button incredibly fast.
Works on some guns but no on others.But the turbo feature can be assigned to diff buttons,not just the fire button.
LED lights can look cool but as far Turbo guns go I wouldnt use it in MP games cause its can give you an unfair advantage,almost cheating if you like (at least that's my view on it) even though its not actually messing with the code of a game like hackers,aimbots and lag switches.But that's a different story.

Some 3rd party controllers had various turbo speeds.

When I was trading in my 360 to get my PS3, I had to order new sticks for my Xbox controllers, and so I had to open them up and mess around with it, which was incredibly annoying. If I have a choice, I'm sure not opening a PS3 controller to find out whats inside. I also really hate people playing FPS with people who have turbo buttons, they are unfair.

And if you are really good, you can even beat cheaters.

But really, i would advise you not to change your controller, because if you don't know how to do it in the first place, what is going to happen is that you are going to ruin it.

I also think this is cheating and do not support it at all. Who knows how many times we've gone up against players with modded controllers in online matches. Doesn't that bother you? It sure does bother me.

I usually stay away from modding and modded controllers. Whenever I attempt to mod my controller it goes terrible for me. After that experience I never tried again.

I don't really now how it works, but don't do it yourself! I would probably have some guy do it for you, and make sure you can't get banned for some of the mods.

I've been keeping an eye out for some helpful info on this. I would love for someone to give and easy step by step, but honestly from what I've gathered it is going to be much more difficult then you (or at least I) would think.

Depends on if you're modding the controller in order to speed up your responses, or just modding the look and feel of it.

Its not cheating, its better hardware, thats like saying I'm cheating if i have a better graphics card and greater frame rate so i can see and react to situations in games better than you...

Agreed. If people use those in FPSers or really any game, I assume they suck or are 6 (I used turbo controllers when I was like 6 on my Genesis. Oh I would beat the crap out of myself for doing that if I could ).

I don't like to use modded controllers or modded anything for that matter. I do see where those that do are coming from. I've seen one of those Scuf controllers and they look very pro. A lot of people say that they improve their game and they are quite expensive. I guess it's worth it though if you're those professional gamers or play FPS a lot.
