Monkey Island series

I never played the original Monkey Island series, but I just found out that it's been re-released for various platforms, including the PC. Which means I could finally get to play it! Has anyone played the re-release? Is it good?

Oh, I really liked that series, and I used to play it all the time a couple of years ago. I didn't know that they re-released it for PC. I should check it out. It may bring back memories, although I doubt I will enjoy it as much as I did, because meanwhile I have played much better games.

I played them quite a while ago. They were hilarious, at least LeChuck's Revenge was. I've heard that Curse of the Monkey's Island had the best puzzles but haven't tried it out. Maybe I'll pick it up on the re-release.

It's surprising that so many people (in real life as well as here) don't know about the re-release! I don't think it was advertised very much.

I do not think I have ever played Monkeyball. Can someone tell me about the game a little, to jog my memory? I think I remember seeing a game, at Gamestop, that had a monkey and a ball on it. Was that game possibly Monkeyball?
