Most non-linear games?

What are some non-linear games you've played, and that are coming to the PS4?

I think the only true non-linear games I've played are Dragon Age Origins, because of the variety of choices, Skyrim, because you can do what you want whenever you want, and Heavy Rain. It has soo many different endings based on your choices.

Right now for the PS4, it looks like Watch Dogs looks like it will. Everybody's gone to the Rapture, which is made by Dear Esther developers, will definitely be non-linear. And I think Dragon Age Inquisition and Witcher 3 are, too. I'm sure I'm missing some, but right now it looks like the PS4 will have more non-linear games than the PS3 (which look much better, too), and I think because of the technology we can expect more flexibility like this.

Are any of you into non-linear games? Which are you favourite and which are you looking forward too? :o

As far as I know, Heavy Rain is extremely linear. Isn't it pretty much just a movie with QTEs and decisions? Like The Walking Dead, I guess. Extremely linear. The very definition of linearity, even. Just because it has many story branches doesn't make it non-linear. A non-linear game would be like Dark Souls (lots of exploration, specially in the first half and you can do some ridiculous things if you have the master key) and Demon's Souls (there's a few levels but you can do them in whichever order). Skyrim is definitely non-linear and by extension so are the Fallouts and all the other previous The Elder Scrolls games.

They are linear in terms of exploration, yes, but the story itself is not linear at all. They are a lot more story-focused than most games, and the story itself is the gameplay really. They could easily be just like a movie with buttons, but they're not...

Oh man I just can't wait to get Watch Dogs. I've been watching trailers since last year and I'm so excited that I'm finally going to get my hands on a copy soon!!!

Watch dogs looks really promising and great fun! And I think you have alot of options to do missions by hacking different things.

I'm just saying, because people regularly refer to gameplay when they talk about linearity. I guess you're referring to just the story. In which case, Heavy Rain certainly isn't a linear story, huh.

OMG that game sent my hype level to the moon! I'n not the largest fan of shooters but that game looks epic. I enjoyed that E3 trailer so much, It should have beaten Titanfall IMO.
