We'll if you like handheld gaming and don't want another Vita, I think the 3ds is the obvious choice. Sorry it broke on you, that really stinks. :(

People notes don't get Street fighter on any handheld because handheld is made it. Tekken is better than street fighter plus the 3ds had a cheat move list on street fighter. lol

Fire Emblem is a game that will eat away at your spare time. I can't speak to fighting games on the 3DS, but... Smash Bros Is Coming.

As for friends, it's not so hard to find people who enjoy the same games as you. I met a lot of really friendly folks in the Pokemon and Animal Crossing online communities.

I love how on a Sony forum we are suggesting a Nintendo product but yea just get a 3DS. I desperately want one and tempted to use some of my uni loan on one because they look so damn good. The games in the end will win you over to be honest regardless of the fact that the Vita is more powerful.

I've been hearing a ruomurs that Microsoft might be coming out with their own handheld, I'm not sure how true that is though...

I can't imagine MS would try that. The much more lucrative Japanese handheld market would be very tough to crack, and with more and more powerful cell phones and tablets these days, I just don't see much of a future in gaming exclusive handhelds.

I will say that the things that MS does better than Sony, social interaction and integration, would be very attractive in a handheld, particularly compared to Nintendo, who seem to do everything possible to make it difficult to communicate via 3ds.

I was wondering to myself as well should I even by a new Vita. Mine broke as well and I am seriously contemplating if I should go out and get a new one. I think that it would be really good if I go out and get one now seeing that I will be traveling next week I think that it would be really good if I had it to use while I was on the plane so that I could have something to do while I was flying.
