Naruto

I know at least one other person here likes this series, so I figure that's good enough for a thread.

Anyway, anyone watch or read it? If so, are you up to date with the manga or anime? I started watching last June, caught up to the anime on the Lightning Swordsman episode and the manga on chapter 608. As someone who didn't watch much anime beyond DBZ, it surprised me by how good it was and how much it tried to tell a single coherent story. So, anyone else?

Naruto is an outstanding manga. You should have known before Naruto.
I read and watch a lot of manga / anime and I advise you not to stop you there, because there are tons of other series that are worth watching.

Naruto has evolved and is now a unique and epic manga.

You could try watching Bleach, Death Note or Mirai Nikki. These animes are truly epic. Pleasure guaranteed.

Well, I watched Code Geass and that is the most epic thing I've ever seen.

The thing is, it's hard for me to get into something. But when I do get into it, I get into it HARD. If you get what I mean.

NARUTO

... Sure, it's the only one I've watched, but its awesome.

If you do decide to watch it, I'd love if you can keep me up to date with your thoughts as you watch it.

Course, it'd be a long series (550 episodes including both series, 330 or so of them canon).

but yeah, watch it. It'll take a few months, but yep. And it's nearing its end, so you won't need to wait TOO long. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them lol

Does anyone know if they will end the series at some point? I know that the Bleach anime ended without the Manga ending. Some other things come to mind like how Gantz's anime took a detour from its manga counter part and had a season and that was that.

I thought Death Note was perfect because it told about both sides of Light's life. Even though there's no way you could ever have a more spectacular anti-hero than Light; you could also never find a better antagonist/protagonist? then L. Both were very well done characters and one of the things about Americans watching anime is you have to see past some of the strange things in the series.

Two high school kids can outsmart an entire nation, FBI, defense force, etc? Sure why the hell not.

The manga is currently in the final major battle, and the anime is just starting the final battle (it's a long ass battle). So yeah, Naruto has a definite end coming up. Kishimoto said a year ago he had a year and a half left, but I'm guessing its taking longer than he thought.

Then again, the battle is (finally) winding down, so it may be able to hit that timeframe... hm

I watched the anime a few years ago and then became fed up with it after shipuuden so I moved onto the manga and honestly I just lost interest in Naruto, I just wish the story would end and it feels like it's being continued indefinintely to milk as much money as possible and I don't think series of that length can stay good or maybe I've lost interest in Shounen.

Nah, I really think they've done a good job making the story interesting and relevant. I guess you might get fed up after a few years, and honestly the current battle has gone on forever, but still. /shrugs MEh, guess I'm weird

One of the best animes ever in my view. In fact, I eagerly away every Saturday because Toonami airs episodes at midnight. I used to be knowledgeable in the series, over the years I just faded away from it. Now I'm interested in it again ha.

Really? How far are you in it. If you're watching Toonami, I can't imagine you're actually that far into it since they can only air the first series, which is like 220 episodes (only 130 or so of which matter). How far are you in it, and are you aware of anything in the manga or anime that you haven't seen yet?

If you compare all other long series of anime naruto is the best one.Naruto shippuden is even better one.I like how they make anime more and more for older audience. When you get older you still keep to watch it because their subjects in their series are growing as well.Thats why i love anime and manga!!!

Naruto is a good comic, but the update too slow. I think you can see some more of the story short animation, such as juvenile Onmyouji so on.

I like it but it's just too big now, I saw more than 140 episodes, and there's still a lot...
It's cool but too big for me. :p

You got that right Kishimoto is a genius, I love Naruto, I use to love watching it but it got bogged down with fillers so I mainly only read the Manga, unless theres a particular fight I just have to see in animation (Sasuke-Naruto fight, Sasuke-Itachi fight, Naruto-Pain) and so on

Naruto's always seemed like DBZ with a consistent story that gets deep at times to me. After I'd seen DBZ it was like "ehh."

I do love Death Note though and I can get into Bleach at times.

I like Naruto. I got into the anime more than manga initially, but ended up liking the manga more. The manga has always been more straight forward when it comes to series since anime based on shonen series or martial arts sprinkle on filler a lot.

I watched the anime' for a fairly long time but I get bored whenever they show stupid filler episodes, yes they're funny and entertaining but I hate it when they stall. That's why I got tire of it. But the anime' was pretty cool though, I love the characters and the action scenes are really well done.
