New Persona 4 Arena version, playable Junpei and Yukari

An update to Persona 4 Arena was announced earlier today and will see it's first location test in Japan this weekend. This new installment has a new user interface and more importantly, adds Junpei and Yukari as playable characters.

Another interesting note is the addition of "Shadow" versions of every character. Not much is known about these differences, but top player Stunedge has confirmed the Shadow characters do not have bursts.

The location test is scheduled to begin on August 16 and last up through August 18.

Guys! I'm so friggin' hyped for this! SO HYPED! I can't control my hype! I love P4A because I love Persona 4 AND I love fighters, so it's definitely one of my favorite fighters because it's fun as hell and now they're announcing a new version with two new characters, one of which I REALLY really wanted? And not just that! The new characters also mean that there might be new stories and I'm kinda hoping their (possible) stories are sequels to the events of P4A.

Man, I seriously need this thing! I wonder which systems it will come out for, probably PS3 and 360? Maybe just PS3? I have no idea! I kind of wish they would announce a Vita version and it would be fitting because both Atlus and Arc System Works love their handheld ports.

Chances are it is, with the potential to come out for other systems later if it's popular enough.

It's arcade-only at the moment, but it will undoubtedly come out for home consoles eventually. After all, that's how Arc System Works does things.
