Here are the submission guidelines to posting in the PlayStation 4 news & rumors board. To ensure your submissions please follow the format below. All news items will be moderated first just so we can weed out the spammers and get a second set of eyes on it for any corrections just so we make sure your posts look good! Failure to follow the guidelines will cause your news submission to get denied. There is an example below that outlines the format.

Guidelines:
  • Submit your news items directly into the PlayStation News section of the site. Once approved by a moderator you'll be able to see it.
  • Sometimes your items may get denied. Don't get discouraged! We try to keep the news items strictly to news and rumors. Sometimes news items may have already been submitted by others, failure to follow the guidelines, and their is always your traditional website spammer.
  • Must have at least 25 words or more not including quotes of your own take on the news or rumor item being reported. Just a a big quote of the original article probably won't make the cut. Try and give some perspective and thought into your item.
  • Create a good news title that is properly capitalized and proper grammar.
  • If you plan to use quotes do no more than a paragraph (3-5 sentences) worth using the quote function on the forums. Occasionally you may have to use a bigger chunk of quotes depending on the item, such as requirements or guidelines related to a press release.
  • Always remember to link back to the original source where you obtained your information at the bottom of your item. (ex. via source.com). Only link the site name. Use the link button in your editor to link a url to text.
  • Remember to check preview your post and check your own work. This greatly decreases the time it takes us to quickly review and approve your item.
  • Don't use slang or profanity in news or rumor items. Text talk or internet abbreviations won't help if somebody doesn't understand what your trying to say. If you use these, then your submission may be take longer to get posted as it gets corrected.

Optional:
  • Include a attached image to your post at the top of your article. Makes for much better presentation.

EXAMPLE BELOW
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
pad with logo-580-75.jpgThis is where you add 25 words of your own take on the item your reporting. You must have at least 25 words here, and why not add some perspective here. Its a relatively short requirement. This example includes 41 words.

This is a quote, any content from the original article that needs to be put in quotes. The rule is not to quote anything longer than paragraph (3-5 lines that best describes the take away) from the source. Do not quote the entire article as it will cause a moderator to deny your post or go with someone else s who has done it right. Always cite your source at the bottom using the Via or source and link it. See the last part of the example below.

Aha! I've been waiting for this addition, I love bringing news to the Xbox One forums, hopefully I can do the same for this one as well.

Erm..OK...fixed. Possibly a typo, thats all. (Please dont go reporting all posts you see cause of incorrect spelling :o )

You know there are also differences in spelling depending on country.
For eg in the post it also says "Rumor",this is American spelling. Where I am in AUS its spelt as "Rumour". But I use the American spelling anyway on most forums I visit.
