Noisy drive?

Just unpacked and installed my new PS4 and slotted in the Destiny DVD. The drive is very noisy when the dvd spinning - its buzzing like an angry bee!

Is this normal? The PS3 drive was whisper quiet...

Yes, I do think the noise is excessive. There are a lot of YouTube videos that illustrate this issue.

I have requested a replacement which arrives on Monday. I'll feedback here with an update when I get it installed.

my ps4 doesnt make any noise at all unlike ps3 that was so loud

My ps4 is quiet. It may just be a faulty machine.

Well we do have to remember guys that the PS4 is bigger and louder and when the fan kicks in when playing it will become loud. However if the noise sounds anything too high then of course you might want to look into a replacement.
