Not Impressed

I'm planning on buying it and my friends says this one is awesome, one of the best on the series...
I hope it's good, I don't want to be disappointed since I always liked killzone...

As long as you go in expecting the SP campaign to be a little rough around the edges I think you'll have a blast.

MP is just awesome. No complaints here (except maybe about the lack of voice chat) Otherwise crazy fun.

The game is awful. It looks gorgeous, absolutely stunning. But... The gameplay, multiplayer, and campaign are so incredibly broken. You can force your way through it well enough, but its not worth it honestly.

Personally, I did think the campaign was a bit of a let down ... Sure it looks great, but there's not really anything innovative.

I suppose you could argue the OWL is something that sets it apart from other shooters and the way you use the touch pad to control it is sort of cool, but as a single player experience, it didn't feel "Next Gen" to me.

The multiplayer however is a different matter, really good fun, a range of gameplay modes, numerous classes, impeccably designed maps and an active community!

All you could ask for really.

Obviously there will be better games that come along. I would have liked to have seen a few more large scale, BF4 style maps with 32 / 64 players just to mix things up a bit, but all in all I've had a blast playing it so far!

Does anyone know how the Mobile Mine works in the Support Class. I spent a good couple of hours achieving tasks with my diffrent abilities to get the damn thing. I keep firing off at enemys with little effect. Im using a StA59B Pulver assault rifle

Personally, I think it was amazing. The older killzones are way better but this Shadowfall is just a little bit under it and the gap is very miniature. I really loved their campaign for this one but there were some things about the multiplayer that just didn't feel like killzone to me anymore.

I actually haven't played any of the other Killzone games, so I was pretty impressed by it. Everything about the controls and mechanics felt realistic, which is awesome. I also thought the graphics were nothing short of incredible, especially paired with the creative scenery of it all. The opening cutscenes were a great introduction to the series for me at least, and I do enjoy the multiplayer a good bit as well. I guess I'll have to look at the other games to see how it compares though.

Yeah, I was also disappointed that this game, despite it's great graphics, became a generic shooter. I think I'll stick with Battlefield 4. It's probably because I have a better taste for more modern weapons.

I honestly haven't tried it yet. I was pretty unimpressed with Killzone on the PS3 and haven't bothered to try the new one.

I really want to get this game, as it looks amazing and I've heard the gameplay is quite fun. I've also heard the people saying that they don't really enjoy the game, but this seems to be coming from the audience of gamers who have played other killzone games before. I've never played a killzone game aside from a few local mutliplayer matches with friends on Killzone 2, so the expectations aren't exactly there.

KIllzone is a prime example (along with Knack) of a game that looks amazing and shows off a consoles potential but isn't that great of a game. If anything Killzone is average at best. I didn't hate it but I was pretty bored by it and it was a game that I returned.

I agree with people's view on Killzone. It was the first title I got, and I find it so stale. It looks great, but the complements end there.

Yeah its true, It looked amazing, and it really showed what a beast the PS4 was at chewing up and spitting out hardcore graphics, but I think the issue is most game developers are overly concerned with the look and mechanics of the game, but not the game play and storyline.

I just picked up a PS4 with this last week and am sadly disappointed. Unfortunate because I was looking forward to it. Ah well, I'll have to hold off for Infamous...thank god for PS+ and free games.
