I could only play this game for 20 min last night but damn...I might have to keep the light on tonight. Last night I had it totally dark on my 55" and took advantage of an empty house and turned up the Bose system lowd as I could take it. Everything leads up to the first moment of a loud noise to scare the shit out of you and it did. It made me jump on the couch enought that i dropped the controller and started to laugh! Cant wait for tonight. Lemme know what you think about the game.

Ha yeah I heard this game is really scary. Ugh I can't wait to get back to the states to play PS4...

I heard about how scary it was before I started playing it so I was ready to be scared. From the very first moment I was prepared for things to pop up out of no where which didn't really happen, but I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Then I walked into the library and almost jumped off my couch! I haven't played very far past that part because I couldn't figure out what to do next...

I started this last night, I had to pause the game 4-5 times as it got too intense.

Each time something popped out I jumped out of my skin. The sound graphics to the game is put together really well, and adds to the whole eerie atmosphere.

Played it last night my girlfriend was watching and we both jumped a few times good stuff the game makes you want to keep playing

lol..I finally started playing this yesterday, its OK and yes..it defo makes you jump up a few times..but as an adult its not cause its actually scary..its the 'cat jump out of closet' thing. It does work though..lol.
However it can get frustrating just running and hiding, some sort of meleee weapon at least would be good..a little unrealistic you cant do anything back except run. That puts me off the game a bit.

I'm in the sewers now and starting to get bored with the game already. The game isn't scary to me anymore, the game feels like a nuisance because I have to run and hide everytime. I need something fresh to suck me back in or I won't be able to complete it. And yes, I got over the perspective and no longer feel any motion sickness. :)

I finished the game lard night and I agree with the above posts.

After the sewers it stopped becoming scary, it just lost that edge, and it quickly became a stealth game. I felt I missed a load of exploration due to me sprinting away from a bad guy.

As for the ending.. I'll wait till others have finished it before I launch into that :o

That's the reason why I never finished it, it started to be boring, because all I was doing was hiding under beds and closets...
And I'm not picking it up again, which is a shame because the start was good.

I know what you mean daimashin but I just looked at this "free" game as an awesome way to get excited for the upcoming game the Evil Within...which is made by Bethesda and that company has never, never let me down. I looked Outlast as more of a haunted house. When we go to haunted house in real life we are not offered a choice of melee weapons with our ticket stub and coke :)

Great game considering its free. Scaredb the crap outa me a few times at the start. The sound is what makes it for me as ive been playing late with the headset on so I dont wake the kids.

Im near the end now and i must admit im I bit bored of hiding and running. Just want to complete it since I came this far. Like I said, its free so I give it a 7/10.

Just plain boring. Glad it cost nuthin'. Kind of like the old Doom series where everything goes black and a scary monster jumps out of the wall. Boooo! Only this time, no weapon.

I have had to put the controller down and walk away a few times because I found myself jumping way too much.

I'm such a wuss! :P Love the graphics though.

Haha I was the same, but then it got to a point where I knew something was going to jump out, and after 4-5 hours it stopped being scary and became a whole bunch of 'WTF' :)

I let out a scream and scared the crap out of my sleeping puppy next to me a few times. I haven't finished it yet but will definitely get back to it soon. I'm in the sewers right now, so I can't say whether it loses it edge afterwards or not, but I'm going to finish it just out of curiosity!
