Outlast makes me want to throw up.

First of all, it's a great game and quite scary. I'm not a person that gets scared easily in games but this one is really good. There is one thing however that keeps me from playing, it's the perpective. The fish eye perspective where the environments look like they are sucked to the center gives me motion sickness. I can't play it for more than fifteen minutes without feeling dioriented. I really like the game but the view stops me from playing it.

You should bring this up on the developer's forum or social networks so that they actually see it and maybe release a patch to alleviate issues.!

lol, my apologies for the mix up. Actually I thought it sounded like that too but I don't know the most straightforward way to say it. It's a great horror game, something that I've never played for a very long time so if you have PS Plus, definitely download this.

Gotta admit i thought this thread was going to be a bad review i downloaded it yesterday haven't had a chance to play it yet

It was pretty scary initially but after a while it dawned on me that the game is nothing more than a puzzle game. Imagine playing Pacman but with lots and lots of blood and gore. Dodge and avoid the bad guys and you're gold. Whatever it is, the game still gives me motion sickness but not as much anymore. I managed to squeeze in another thirty minutes last night, I think I'm starting to get used to it already.

I found it slightly annoying that you just can't fight back when you're trapped. Just a quick bash to the head with the camcorder or something

Heck, those are only humans right. I don't even need anything to fight back actually. The asylum basically has a ton of stuff the protagonist can use but if we could then it defeats the purpose of survival horror and the game wouldn't have been so scary.

Isn't the survival genre supposed to be realistic though? Granted we'd never find ourselves on our own in an Asylum, but is it not instinct to lash out when there is a mentalist in your face wanting to eat you?

Honestly, I think it's pretty stupid too that we don't get to defend ourselves. I died twice yesterday because I didn't know where to go. That time I thought, why is the character such a sissy? Gets redundant after a while because I'll just stand there and die when trapped.
