During the State of Play livestream hosted on June 2, 2026 - Sony's Santa Monica Studio revealed God of War Laufey. Following the reveal, people are saying that God of War Laufey is "woke." And the argument I have, is people are reaching. Especially if you played God of War (2018), and God of War Ragnarök - which most of the people complaining... DID NOT DO. Because the story of Laufey literally starts in God of War (2018), and continues at the beginning of Ragnarok.
