Persona 5 coming to PS3 in North America in 2015

Persona 5 will launch in North America sometime in 2015 for the PlayStation 3, Atlus announced today. The game was originally announced in November for a Japanese release. Persona 5 is the first entry in the main role-playing series developed for the PS3.
That's not all. Atlus also announced today that the sequel to Persona 4 Arena--called Persona 4 Arena Ultimax--will launch for the PS3 in fall 2014.

I'm really hoping P4A will just be an add-on, but I'm definitely amped over being able to get a hold of a Persona game, since I was unable to get Persona 4.

Oh hell yes! I haven't played any of them but I've been dying to after hearing a few buddies talk it over in a facebook group. I was all "yeah totally... wait idk wtf you're talking about". After research though, can't wait to play em, should I play all the personas somehow before 5?

I love Atlus! Taking the time to bring these games to the U.S. is noble. We wouldn't have access to great games like this if it wasn't for guys like them.

The Persona games are all pretty separate from each other, for example, 3 and 4 take place about 10 years apart, judging by Persona 4 Arena. You can pickup Persona 3 FES on the PSN for about $10, which is a fantastic entry to the series.

A little under a year away, but still great to hear that it's definitely coming! Sega lucked up big time by snagging Atlus. It's like they finally found their 90s Rare Ltd.

Only in the case of Atlus, the quality is unlike to dip...especially if they just stick to doing traditional RPGs. If they get cocky and start trying to do a Square Enix (bar for DQ, DQM, and FF Tactics) then they'll probably start to trip and fall often.

I don't see Atlus dropping the ball. They've been consistent for a long time, roughly as long as Rare give or take a year.

Consistency is one of Atlus' main things along with creativity. You put those two together and you've got a great company.
