Plasma TV versus High Definition

I've had a plasma television for a couple of years. It isn't a big screen or anything, but I love the picture. The difference really is striking. I'm just wondering how much better high definition is than plasma. I've read plasma TVs referred to as "early high definition." Is an upgrade to HD really worth it?

It doesn't matter to me. I have a flatscreen 50 inch HD and it looks great. As long as it's flatscreen and large it's fine I guess. But I've heard Plasma tv's are bad for gaming. Games can damage them.
