Playing foreign language games

...when you don't speak the language! :p Does anyone here do this? I don't, yet, but I'm really tempted to start doing it because Japan has got some really fun-looking games that're only available over there. I want to play them! But I don't speak/read/understand Japanese. Ugh.

Will foreign games, play in American consoles? I was thinking their consoles, were a bit different than ours. If they are not, I would love to play some foreign games! I think I would find a good translation site, and keep it open during gameplay. Then, when I had problems with the game, I could look it up.

My friend has some games in Japanese that I can't understand. They are really strange but also a lot of fun. I can't understand the instructions but if they are simple enough then it's really not necessary

I wonder if you could find instruction books translated to English online somewhere? I do know some of the funniest shows on TV here can be ones from Japan with English subtitles.

I don't know about instruction books but if you Google the name of the game you will probably find some sort of instruction in English. I think printing English instruction books might cost a lot of money but of course online, it would be pretty much free.

I definitely remember finding some fan translations of some Japanese games, though I never played those games so I can't say how useful they are.

But guess what! I just found out that some Japanese games have an English version already built in! Isn't that amazing?
