Playstation 1 memories!

Best memory was hosting fighting game tournaments at my house and drawing up the brackets on lined paper. SpaceTiger used to make backyard wrestling belts, so he made up a belt for King of Fighters (which became the SNK Championship), Tekken (which became the All-Namco Championship when we started play Soul Edge), and the Capcom title.

I remember SpaceTiger holding the SNK belt for a long time and when he lost it, he made a F*** the SNK Belt belt which could only be contested for in a Namco or Capcom fighter OR Bushido Blade. He never lost it since he never lost at Bushido Blade. Those were the days.

I also remember demo discs and the hype behind Final Fantasy VII. That game had more hype across different things than any other game. Toonami shilled the hell out of FFVII.

Some of my favorite PlayStation 1 memories were made while playing video games with my brothers and sister. No matter what game we were playing we always had a blast. The game that we had the most fun with is Resident Evil. We would get so spooked out by that game that it was fun seeing each other get the life scared out of us.

It was not so much the games that I played, it was the fact that I could sit there and play and play. I spent a lot of hours on that console to the point that my mom threatened to run it over with the car.

I remember when FF7 came out, I was in the 5th grade and it was such a..HUGE deal. I would go to Blockbuster to rent it and there would be rows and rows of the thick jewel cases, all FF7. I remember when I finally beat the game, it was one of those moments in my life. I ran out in our driveway to get my sister and she was in a car making out with some dude. I was so excited I had to tell everyone and no one cared lmao.

Spryo the Dragon was the first game I played, too. I've always had a love for the series. I tried playing the one that came out on the Wii, but it seemed way to different to even be enjoyable. I wish they would make a new one, I would be 7 years old again!

I could not imagine playing Spyro on anything other than Playstation.

I think that the game that I had first played on the console had to be Spyro. It was a demo but I really cannot remember what month that it was though because that was a really long time ago. I remember though that it was like the best thing that had ever happened to me in my life.

I was really happy the day that I was actually able to play it. It was my cousins console actually because at the time I don't think that my parents had the money to be able to afford it so it was the best thing that really happened to me.

When it first came out in '95 a bud of mine would rent it and play it at my house. At that time it cost $300 if I'm not mistaken. The games that first came out like Battle Arena Toshinden, Mortal Kombat 3, Warhawk, Air Combat, and NFL Game Day just blew my mind. It wasn't until 2 years later when Final Fantasy VII came out that I HAD to buy it. Lucky for me it was cheaper around this time.

I spent so much time playing Spyro on that thing! Definitely one of my all time favorite game series.. Up until they made skylanders.. That made me so sad

Final Fantasy 9! I was waiting for this to be released and I was on fire. When it was released I spent all day looking for it. Then I played it for days to no end! Man I was so attached to ti.

That certainly brings back some memories. My brother actually bought me that game. I'm not really into fighting games and to be honest, I never knew why he bought me it as he knew full-well what I was into at the time. Probably to give me a change...

I played it anyway simply to make him happy as I knew he must have spent some time looking it out for me and I desperately tried to get some sort of enjoyment out of it. I did play it for a bit. It had it's moments and it even made me laugh. However I just couldn't get around the fact that it just wasn't 'me'.

I've actually played more of Battle Arena Toshinden than I have of any other fighter on the market still to this day! Even though I don't really like those kind of games, I do reserve some special affection for this one...!
