Playstation Plus Users Anonymous

As a newbie here, I'm curious to get everyone's thoughts on Playstation Plus.

I've been a PS+ user for about a year and a half (sounds like a drug, doesn't it?). I got started when my brother gave me a year long subscription for Christmas in 2011. Since then, I've been enjoying a steady torrent of free games and discounts. I now have over 80 games on my PS3 HDD. I actually switched out my 40 GB HDD for a 500 GB HDD just so I could fit all of those games!

Having an endless supply of awesome games at my fingertips is both a blessing and a curse. I never get around to playing all of them, but I love the fact that I don't have to go out and buy them myself. I paid a $50 fee and now I get random games delivered to me for free! It's like the jelly of the month club -- it's the gift that keeps on giving the whole year (as cousin Eddie would say).

What do you think? Yay or nay? Also, how do you think PS+ will change or stay as amazing on the PS4?

Nay. I don't purchase online enough to warrant the benefits from a monthly subscription. Might be better on ps4, if so, I'll get it

You just have to purchase it once and then you can download the games anytime! And you keep getting free games every month, and pretty awesome ones too at that.

Anyways, as you can see I'm a huge fan of the PS+, however you are right. It's a curse as well as I never get around to playing many of the games I download, no matter how awesome they are.

I believe PlayStation Plus has made one big step forward with the announcement of PlayStation 4. It will be getting even better time by time. The thing is that I only had 1 year subscription 2 years ago but I've enjoyed very much. Ever since, I have switched to PC Gaming.

Oh yeah, it's definitely worth the price. $50 a year for hundreds of dollars worth of free video games? Yes, sir! While it's true that you can't play them after your subscription runs out, it's still quite a deal. In addition, you get discounts on certain titles and when you actually buy a game at discount, it is yours -- even after your subscription runs out.

Started with two free months, got hooked for all the free stuff, specially the games, ended up buying three months later. Want to really subscribe again, but last months don't have games that really are worth to pay, so i will just wait until they put some awesome games and then bam, subscribe!

If you are a hard core gamer, PS+ is really worth it because of all the free games you get along with other extras. It pretty much pays for itself. However, if you are just a casual gamer, it is really not worth it.
