Has anyone here played Poy Poy or Poy Poy 2? I've only played Poy Poy 2 but I heard it's the same as Poy Poy (1) anyway.

This was one of my favorite games in PSone. Basically you are a little 3d chibi.
You will be loaded in an arena along with other characters, and there are objects in it, like logs, rocks, or missiles.

The objective is to pickup the items and throw it at the opponents until they lose all HP. In addition, each arena is special too.
One arena has a quicksand on the center, one arena is the moon so your characters will move slower and your projectiles will fly slower. And more.
It was really fun and unique but somehow the game didn't seem to get popular. I can imagine it is the game that is so fun to play with friends.
Because even if you lose it is still pretty funny to watch.

Poy Poy? Never even heard of it. So, basically, it's like Bomberman with logs, rocks and missiles? You say that it could be fun to play the game with friends. So does it also have a multiplayer mode? How many players could compete simultaneously? Probably I'm going to download the ROM for this game.

I guess Bomberman is the closest game to compare to it. It can be played by up to 4 players. I never really had someone to play with but I'm 100% sure about that. I forgot to mention but each character has their own specials too. Like one character could use his power so whatever he throws will also spin for awhile damaging whoever it comes in contact with. And another one will change whatever he's carrying into a huge hammer so instead of him throwing away the object, he can chase opponents and strike them with the hammer. There are many characters in the game, and each of them has stats too. Some move faster, some have high hp. I really had hoped the game would be popular, because even during those times, I don't know anyone else who plays it.
