It's going to be another tight season, I think. I can't see Arsenal winning it to be honest, although I think they'll be closer than last year. For me, I can see it being Chelsea. I think Man City will do well to finish in the top two from what I've seen of them so far. I've not been impressed but again, it’s still early days. For Liverpool, I think it depends on what side of Balotelli's personality turns up on the pitch. Get him playing well and knocking goals in and I think they'll be second again.
I'm a Sunderland supporter (hence the 'safc' at the end of my user name!), so you've had a few of our players in recent years. What do you think of the Borini situation? Personally, I find it bizarre that a £14m deal was agreed and he wanted to remain, effectively, a bench-warmer for Liverpool. I'm really disappointed as he done well for us and could have very easily made a name for himself. However, if he really didn't want to sign for us permanently I suppose it's for the best.
As for the bottom three – we'll be right in the mix again given we haven't added anything at all in the way of a strike force. I've been saying since about February that we're desperately lacking up front (about the worst I've known us for strikers in 10/12 years) and it's only around now that the majority of fans seem to be waking up to this. All our goals so far have come from midfield – barring one own goal. I only hope I'm going to be proven wrong again. Other than us struggling again, I think Burnley will be gone (although I do rate Sean Dyche as a manager, I think they've come back to the top flight too quickly with the squad they have) along with West Brom, who I feel were doomed the moment they brought in Alan Irvine. I also feel that QPR will be there or thereabouts (their defence is chronic). Crystal Palace? I've not seen enough of them yet to comment on but I strongly suspect they'll be in the mix too.
I don't gamble personally. The furthest I go are those arcade machines and that's once a year when I'm on holiday – and I've never won anything on them… I'm one of those people who rarely wins anything. For instance, my parents played the National Lottery every week for around twelve years straight. They won one £10 note in that time… I've dabbled in it now and again and not won a bean. I'm one of those people who could be one of only two in a raffle. 20 tickets sold and I bought 19 of them. The one ticket I don't have would be the one that's drawn…
