Pretty interesting video about the DualShock 4 Touchpad system

So I've been catching up with all the Gamescom news and videos and came across this video on Playstation's Youtube. It's a Developer Diary for "inFAMOUS: Second Son", but it focuses entirely on the DualShock 4, including how this game in particular makes use of the touchpad system, and frankly I'm loving it. Really looking forward to getting my hands on the controller as it looks and seems fantastic! Anyway, check out the video below:

That's pretty awesome. The controller seems really easy to use and responsive. If this is even a glimpse of what's possible on other titles then I think Sony has taken an unexpected lead when it comes to controllers. Infamous Second Son has also made gained some of my attention.

Okay, the controller is cool and all but isn't the touch pad a little bit too small? Anyway, it seems as though it's pretty easy to use. And the shoulder buttons seem to be a huge improvement over that on the PS 3. This would be great especially with first person shooters.

Sound coming from the controller via a speaker looks like it may also be a cool feature, depending on how it's implemented in games ofcourse.
However for those of us using a gaming headset,I dont think we would hear it,I wonder how that would effect certain games then.
If its just a cool option extra but not needed ingame,OK,but if its a vital part of a game then some of us may be at a disadvantage, and may have to switch to our external speakers...arghh...So again,I guess what games use it and whats it's used for in that game will decide.

I wonder if the speakers will be similar to how the Wii-mote works with its speakers. Hopefully it will be in stereo as opposed to Wii-motes mono.

I a really intrigued. Let's see how it plays. I have never played a Sony console before. Pretty excited to get my hands on the console as well as the controller and this game.
