I'm trying to connect my ps4 to my computer monitor. I'm using an hdmi cord with a dvi adapter connected to the monitor. I used this setup for my ps3 and would work but with the ps4 I can't get it to work.

I turn the system on the monitor flashes and shows static about twice a minute. When I hold down the on button, this is how I would reset my ps3 graphics to get it to work, the monitor constabtly flashes and says "input out of range change settings to 1600 x 900 - 60hz".

I play on my monitor occasionally qhen I'm not at how so it would be much appreciated for the help

Does that connection work using your dvi connection on your hdtv? Their are reports of some units shipping with faulty hdmi ports which is why I ask.

I have a 50" Samsung Plasma that's 3.5 years old. The hdmi to hdmi works fine on it.

Currently I'm trying to connect it to a 20" hp moniter and that is not working. I have not tried using the dvi adapter on the 50" because I had n o need to

I've read DVI to HDMI cords are pretty hit and miss... Also, With it saying 'input out of range', could it be you need to set yer monitor to HD standard resolution and hz?

I know this is a lot later than when this was originally posted but I am having exactly the same problem except the error message I get on my monitor screen is change resolution to 1600 x1200 as I have a Dell 2007fp 20" 4:3 monitor.

I have changed the PS4 settings to 480p and unticked the HDCP setting thingy too. . I have googled relentlessly and can't find a solution.

I am using an HDMI to DVI plus audio adapter.. any help in not too techy terms greatly appreciated.

Really don't want to have to buy a new monitor but also don't want to play on my TV as PC monitor is much closer to me and I can switch from PS4 input to PC input. .or so I thought.. and I can see much better . . Old fogey here lol
