Problems getting The Crew Disc to work.

I just bought my PS4, and I bought this game & Battlefront. So I put Battlefront in 1st, and it loaded up & I had fun playing it. So I decided to try out this Game, and I put it in & get the little story line sowing the Camaro getting put together & then going out on the road. So then it says hit any button to play so I do, and it gives me this line -, "to use network features, you must update the application". To check the download status of the update file, select Notifications >*Downloads. [NP-31739-3] And so I hit X* again, and it goes back to "Hit any Button to start". And AGAIN I hit a button, and it gives me the same line as before. And this goes on OVER & OVER again as many times I keep doing it. And when I do go check on the status it says it's downloading. It's almost all the way loaded, it says it has a few more hours. So I'll see what happens then.
*** Whatever happened to when you go buy a Game you bring it home put it in your Game System, and there it is. No downloading extra things, everything you needed was right there on the game Disc/Cartridge. I thought that's what you get when you buy a Game, it's all right there. That's why I didn't want to buy Games by downloading them I wanted to have the Game in my hand, but now I see buying the physical Game doesn't do you any better. It's crazy that I'd have to wait for hours before I can play my Game, and that's even if it's going to work then....

This might depend on your database. For some reason it might be corrupted somehow.

If you didn't di it yet, you can try this.

Rebuild the database:
1) Turn off the PS4 and unplug the power cable. Wait 10-15 seconds.
2) Plug the cable back in and tap/hold down the power button until you hear a second beep. (it will put your PS4 into SAFE mode).
3) Select option 5 to rebuild the database.

This method checks the PS4 drive and creates a new database of all content.
Do not turn the PS4 off while you’re rebuilding the database. Depending on what you have installed on your HD, it may take from 1 to 10 minutes to accomplish.

4) Restart the PS4.

!!! If you have sensitive datas such as game savings that you want to keep, upload them first to the PSN Cloud !!!

Let us know if it fixes your problem, otherwise we will find another solution.
