PS2 vs PS3

I played the PS2 a lot more than I ever did with the PS3. I'm not sure if it's just age, but I'm pretty sure I'm just as eager to play as I ever was. It's just that games have gotten a little more serious for my taste recently, and I end up just preferring to play the older, more colorful ones.

I'm sticking with the good old PS 2. I know, I know, the PS 3 has a lot more power and all, but I've had more fun with the games on the PS 2. Maybe that's because I was a lot younger when I played the PS 2 but I don't care. Playing the PS 3 just feels, a bit different. . . PS 2 all the way.

For me, the PS2 is still the best console there is. There are some games on the PS2 which I can play all day without getting bored.

I think I've enjoyed the PS3 more than the PS2. I think the increase in realism between these generations is a big reason why this is. I really loved the PS2, but realism in games really can keep me a lot more hooked than if there was no improvement here between generations. So far, I think PS2 has had some better titles but overall I've had more enjoyment out of PS3.

I enjoy playing both. I like my PS2 and I like my PS3 equally. I can't really choose between the two. The PS3 has better graphics, but I have more games for my PS2. I play it more than my PS3.

With PS1 and PS2 no matter what games you played you were still wondering about games with better graphics, with PS3 that didnt really happen did it?
And all of a sudden we have PS4 right around the corner and PS3 still looks very good.

And before people say "Its not all about the graphics" come on now,if that was the case you would all be playing Sega MegaDrive/Genesis or SNES.
Graphics might not be the only part, but lets be real here, its probably the biggest and most important part still.

PS3 is more advanced in terms of its graphics but i do think that i have had more fun playing the PS2. I have more memories playing PS2 games because i was so addicted to gaming back when the PS2 came out.

I spent a lot more time on the PS2. The thing is, that in the PS2 era, Sony had a lot of exclusives. Nowadays, that is not the case. I don't necessarily feel like I have to own a PS# because there are not many games that I need a PS3 to buy.

Yeah. I love my PS2 but I wouldn't mind exchanging it for a PS3. Beyond nostalgia I see no reason to prefer a PS2, I mean a PS3 has better graphics and plays most of the PS2 games as well. There is no question which one is better.

That said, I used to play my PS2 as a kid who had only been playing the SNES and Genesis before, so the impact a PS2 had on me was much more than what PS3 did.

Emotionally I'm probably tied to my PS 2 more because it developed my love for RPGs which tend to be my favorite style of game and I also remember that at my worst times I'd have some time with the PS 2 and I would get to feeling better. Not sure Games should be coping devices, but hey it all worked out!
