PS3 Features Compared To Xbox 360

"Features" is a broad term, so it's hard to say. The Blu-ray player in the PS3 is one of the main reasons I even bought one. Before that, I had no reason to shift from my Xbox 360 and the PS3 exclusives alone didn't really entice me all that much. I mainly use my PS3 for Netflix because of the free internet access. It's ridiculous that you can't use Netflix on Xbox Live without a Gold subscription, especially since you pay for both Netflix and internet access separately.

Both were neck and neck until it got down to online. 360's online multiplayer is better, but PS3's was how online should've been handled period. I always use the guy (Microsoft) in front of the fridge (360) requesting that you pay (Live Gold) to get food and stuff (online multiplayer, services you already have a subscription for, etc). I remember someone asking what makes Live so special that all that stuff isn't available already. The answer was unicorn magic or something.

I remember I told you it was leprechaun magic. That's really all it was that made Live Gold special.

Isn't it a bit late for this? Since we are doing this, I figured what the hell.

The main selling point was Blu Ray... It was the cheapest and one of the best Blu Ray players on the market.

I also have both systems in the house...my son prefers Playstation and my daughter prefers Xbox. As far as features are concerned, I don't think that one has any real advantage over the other. I do know that when it comes to streaming video and playing blurays, we use the playstation. we use the xbox strictly for gaming, even though it has the same capacity to do the same things. I think that the video quality is just a little better on the PS3.

I use to only play x-box until my step dad bought the PS3 and i have to say that there really is no difference.

Obviously there are some differences in pricing, gaming options, hardware, etc. But overall, they are the same.

You really are looking at the same thing. Only significant difference is the depth of exclusives on PS3 compared to the 360. That carried over to PS4 and Xbox One.
