PS4 Controller battery life

Hello everyone, how long on average does your ps4 controller last before it starts asking for a recharge, im finding i get just a few hours before it shouts at me.

The battery life is a joke especially if you have vibration on and the light at hits highest level, i now keep mine plugged in.

Im starting ti be at this point . Where i sit i charge my phone which uses the same cable as ps4 controller.

I'll usually get a few hours until I have to switch controllers. I used to get really really bad battery life but I shut down the dumb light bar to the lowest settings and I squeezed a lot more out of it. Amazing how much that eats battery, especially since it's so unnecessary.

Yeah,defo doesnt last very long.I like the vibration on but also have the lightbar at the dimmest setting.
I also keep a 3m long lead handy if I need to charge while I play. You can buy longer micro USB cables on ebay for eg.

I'm starting to realise it's just an accessory feature that doesn't mean anything lol. Like the cherry on top of a cake.

The colors do tell you something about what's happening in the game. For example in Destiny, when my characters health is in the red, the light bar turns red. Though its something you never notice because who the hell looks down at the front of their controller. Yeah. Useless

I've the lightbar set to the dimmest and no vibration. My pad also turns off after 10 minutes of inactivity. I can play about 4 hours before recharging it.

It's pretty bad TBH. Luckily my PS4 is setup on my computer desk, so i can easily charge while I play.

I have never timed it, but it does not last very long. I have 2 controllers, so one is always plugged in and ready when the other one dies. It really serves no purpose and is just battery wasting bling.

Now now. If you have the camera plugged in, it uses the light bar to find you, then the camera recognizes your face Though that is the most use I've gotten out of it, lol.

I disabled that function because my camera made confusion between my son and myself. True that we look alike, but I'm 30 years older than him!

The battery life sucks on the ps4 but i bought an extra controller and i don't have that problem anymore
