PS4 exclusives vs Xbox One exclusives

I think both consoles have astonishing games but the PS4 is superior when it comes to exclusives. Infamous Second Son and Destiny are the first titles that comes into my mind right now but I can think about others too.

What do you think? Which console wins the exclusives war?

As much as I admire Sony's choice of going down a different path than Microsoft concerning DRM and other issues, showing that they really support the gaming community, I found their conference really lackluster in terms of (exclusive) games. FFXV and Kingdom Hearts will be available for XBOX too, meaning there's not much left except for Killzone (and I'm a die hard Halo fan). So even though the XBOX is more expensive, and Microsoft's policies are quite unnerving, I'm torn. Because Microsoft really blew me away with their games

Destiny is cross-platform actually. So not just on the PS4.

As for exclusives between Microsoft and Playstation, I actually enjoy both company's exclusives. I really like Gears of War series (aside from Judgment - that was a big disappointment) and Crackdown. And yes, Halo too.

But Playstation have amazing exclusives too. The Last of Us, God of War, Heavy Rain, etc.

As for the next-gen exclusives - hands down Sony have the upper-hand here. There isn't a single exclusive that Xbox One has out or have announced that entices me. Titanfall seems ok, but you can grab that on the Xbox 360 too.

Which console has naughty dog?
I'm buying for the long term.
But no argument, microsoft had much stronger lineup during E3 for exclusives. But once you start thinking about future exclusives, I think Sony has better studios on their side.

I do not see much of a difference at this point.

We will have to wait, and see what the future holds for both systems. Neither the Xbox One, or the PlayStation 4 have many games out for it at the moment. So, i cannot say who has the better exclusives.

However. I hope the PlayStation 4 wins this battle. Simply because i own the system. Both systems have to step up their game though. The market is dry right now. There are barely any games to play.

We have to be honest here, Xbox One did launch with a bigger list than the PS4. But we all know quantity does not equal quality, a fair example of that is Naughty Dog releases being PS exclusive for quite a while know. Bit off-topic but does anyone remember Crash Bandicoot?

Anyways, personally I prefer PS4 exclusives, apart from the horrible save system Killzone is a good game and so is inFamous. It's all a matter of preference of course, depends on the publishers and the game series you like.

I think MS does have better exclusives, but it doesn't really mean much when there aren't that many exclusives and a lot of the third party games are cross platform. With that said, I like some of the games Sony puts out and of course you have Infamous SS and KZ:SF. I think Sony will have the better exclusives once PS Now comes out and we have access to games from older generations.

PS has the best exclusives, no argument there :p

If you think about current and possible exclusives:

Uncharted(or any game by Naughty dog), God of War, interactive movies by Quantic Dream(i know many people hate those, but i enjoy them), The Order 1884...

more variaty, while all Xbox games is more shooters, only game I really wished I could play on 360 was Alan Wake and now I'm jealous of Quantum break for Xbox one.

I think PS4 probably has more diversity with the titles they've released. Seems like Xbox is really focused on shooter games and not so much of the more interactive games, like the Last of Us. Really though, neither console has a large quantity of released games yet, so it's kind of hard to compare.

As a sad Xbox One owner, I have to say you guys are the winners hands down when it comes to games (which is the only thing relevant). I just got done voicing my frustration with the One and am now looking to sell it so I can get a PS4.

GameStop had a program where you could trade in your Xbox One for PS4 credit or vice versa. I'm not really sure if it's still there, so you might wanna check. The Xbox One isn't that bad IMO but it's not for hardcore gamers and has a pretty clunky interface.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that. Yes, I am a hardcore gamer and planned to get a PS4, but someone on Facebook was selling the One for $350 so I couldn't pass it up. Now I wish I hadn't. Lol.

I think when talking about exclusives you need to look ahead for the next 4-5 years.
PS4 has Naughty Dog, right off the bat that guarantees you a new Uncharted/Last of Us, then there's also Quantic Dream which always turns out great experiences.
What will Xbox One have? A new Halo?
I don't think there's even a contest.

I'm pretty torn on this but that's okay since I'll probably end up getting both consoles anyway. I'm torn because the two main games I'm avidly waiting for are exclusives for different consoles. They are god of war and gears of war. Funnily enough, they both end in "of war" haha. I really thought that as time passed, these highly popular games would be offered on both systems because what developer wouldn't want to capitalize on the potential profit?

After all, the PS4 is superior when it comes to exclusives too. And I can't wait for Uncharted 4 to be launched, since the guys from Naughty Dog have released wonderful games by now. I don't they'll ever fail.

That's true, I think Naughty Dog must be the best developer out there, it's incredible how you see their games progress and evolve even if they are around the same action/adventure idea.
Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter, Uncharted, Last of Us, there is a clear progression here, and the characters are all loosely Indiana-Jones based :) but they manage to always make great games without us ever getting bored of them.

Destiny is a really fun game but I don't think it is actually PS exclusive? I could be wrong though. As far as exclusive games go, I would have to give PS4 a big advantage over the Xbox.

To be honest.

I could not care less about exclusives. I really only play sports tittles anyway. The sports tittles are always multi platform. I do not think exclusives make much of a difference because it is usually only 1, or 2 games.

Is that enough to make someone buy one console over the other? Sure, maybe a few people. However most could not care less. You can add me to that group.

I am more concerned with gameplay, and user experience.

Nope, Destiny is cross-platform and cross-gen: Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 & PS4. I'm actually interested to see if there's gonna be a noticeable difference to how the game plays (and obviously looks, but that's a given) between the current-gen and next-gen consoles.
One exclusive I'm actually looking forward to is Drive Club. Gran Turismo isn't coming out for a while so I'll keep my eye out on this one and The Crew. There's also gonna be a free version of this on PS+ I believe.

I've never paid much attention to Xbox exclusives and have always been more comfortable with Playstation's, so I'm biased and voting for PS, although admittedly, it doesn't really factor in that much to my choice anyway as much as their price and policies. As for XBox exclusives I would like, Titanfall is the only one that mildly caught my attention, and that turns out to be rumored to go to PS4 as well anyway.
