So many games to play! Wow! Didi anyone else notice how many games were announced last night? It was well over 15 games! That's insane!

Very nice, and more games are constantly being added to this list. Just yesterday they confirmed on twitter that Minecraft has been very heavily requested, and it will be released on the PS4:

I already own it on my PC and Android devices, but I think that PS3 players were really missing out by not having it, but this will no longer be the case.

The Playstation 4 has a great launch lineup. It is definitely something that I am looking forward to. Almost every game on the list looks well worth the purchase. That is exactly why I can't wait to purchase a Playstation 4 myself.

After seeing the trailer, I'm really looking forward to Watch Dogs. Really neat concept and seems a lot like a modern day Assassin's Creed.

At the moment since I really only know of these games I am kind of glad I am not getting a PS4 at launch simply because I will be getting Watch Dogs on PS3 and already got Marvel on Steam. I can not really even remember the last time there was an amazing launch lineup for a system. I guess it is better than the PS3's or even a lot of the various handheld systems.

Its been postponed till spring 2014 though, so its not a PS4 launch title anymore. I don't think its even in the launch window now. Still, the excitement for this one remains high and I am actually happy its delayed. Gives me time to buy the PS4 after the prices drop.

Everytime I look at this list, I cringe a little. It really is a pretty weak launch line-up and kinda confirmed my decision to wait a little to buy a PS4. Most of the really great games don't come out until well after 2014 and most of the big names on this list are already out for the PS3 so I'm not really interested in spending extra money for the upgrade for slightly better graphics.

I remember seeing an article earlier that pointed out that most reviewers preferred Wii U's launch lineup to PS4's. I'm liking PS4's launch window more than Wii U's, but I was impressed more by the Wii U's immediate launch. That said, looking back at say PS2's launch titles there was some of everything in there and they dumped the bag out on the number of titles. Launch titles are never impressive for the most part, though.

I preferred Wii U's launch titles myself. PS2's launch line up was pretty good as well. PS4's isn't drab or bad or anything, just very little screams "pick up in the first month". Plus there was no Ridge Racer at launch. Wouldn't have made a huge difference towards sales, but it's the tradition.

Yeah the Wii U launch (I mean the titles) were a lot better than the PS4 but that's not to say the games on it aren't good. Just to many that are available on other systems. Personally I can understand why people would wait to pick it up until more stuff gets released. I hear great stuff about Contrast, Warframe, and DCUO but all of those games are either available on the PS3 or PC.

Too many FPSs and indie games for my taste. It's an extremely weak launch lineup.
I guess I'll just wait a bit before buying a PS4.

Some of the indies are amazing but not enough to justify buying a PS4. It's just not a great lineup really and I prefer to wait until the price drop before I get one. I imagine most people are going to go back to their PS3's until more releases come out but for now I think the lineup was pretty expected especially when Watch Dogs got delayed.

That's the main thing: a lot of the titles are available on PS3 (and/or PC). They could've at least mixed in some doomed to be forgotten titles. You know, they're released in the launch window, aren't really showcased or promoted at all and they run the gamut of "Why would you make this game?!!" to "This will be cult status as PS5 nears." The games that you remember playing, you can explain the gameplay, have a cobbled together memory of the storyline, but can't remember the name.

...should've had like 3 or 4 of those.

Pretty decent for a launch lineup. I think Infamous will be coming out early next year as well, which should be really good. It's important to not only have a strong line-up but to keep the titles flowing through the dry season next year.

Unfortunately, people still fall for the whole "we have a bunch of games for the release of the console", and then it ends up being 80% indie games. Which are not bad, some are pretty nice, but come on, i buy a sony console because of sony exclusives, i will certainly not buy a Wii U because i can play Call of Duty Ghosts in it!

In some ways that's true. People want to own the next big thing before all the kinks have been worked out. But in some ways I'm glad that some of the cooler indies are getting more attention. But it was no reason to buy the console on launch. I prefer to wait until more PS4 designed games come out. Your last point is pretty true. We buy these consoles because we want the games that are made for them, everything else is a shiny bonus.
