PS4 Monitor

Hello,

I’m going to buy a new monitor for my PS4. It has to have a response time of 1 or 2 ms (most important for what I am planning to do with the monitor?).

At the moment, I think I am going to go for a BenQ monitor but I dont know which model.

Should I for the BenQ GL2450E (2ms), BenQ GL2460 (2ms), BenQ GL2460HM (2ms), BenQ RL2455HM (1ms)?

The monitor is going to be used mostly for FPS and solely for ps4.

If u have any other suggestions, feel free. I live in Europe (belgium) so don’t tell me to go to Bestbuy or something:).

Kind regards.

No idea what the BenQ is since I live in America, which here most do just say go to Bestbuy lol. No idea if you have Vizio in your country, but its what I use for both tv & my monitor. A monitor can be good for gaming, my monitor a Vizio 22inch LED, is incredible for gaming. I rather use my 42inch TV though. And to be honest with your question the 1ms and 2s isn't going to make any difference, its just to quick of a time to notice anything. So just make sure your buying a good monitor with good sound, a range of options, and good bright colors, hence why I have a LED, the colors are great.

Thanks for the fast reply.

I am leaning the most to the RL2455HM, which is (based on the info on the site) a professional 24” LED gaming monitor equipped with Black eQualizer, RTS Mode, Display Mode, Smart Scaling, 1ms GTG, HDMI and 12M:1 dynamic contrast ratio.

It seems to only have good reviews aswell. Hopefully someone who knows about the BenQ monitor series can inform me a little bit more:D

Kind regards.

Well I have never considered getting a BenQ. BenQ is not so popular here.
I would consider Dell or Samsung.

Anyway read editorial reviews, they test everything and can give you clear idea.
I know for gaming most people care about response time, but remember, picture quality is also important, you need deep black level and accurate colours to get the best picture out of your PS4, so consider those as well.

Agree with the response, but disagree with the sound. Surround headset is the way to go when gaming. I guess you don't need A40's, but at least the Sony virtual thingy you can get. It's fairly cheap and a way better option than tv sound.

I've used soundwhoring to a degree in MW3, but on PC with regualar headphones. Went all-in on PS4 and got A40's, damn, it's awesome!! It's almost wallhacking to use amplify when people don't use deadsilence.

I just got a fairly cheap 27 inch Phillips monitor with 1 ms response time. Works fine.

May I give you some advice? Buy the biggest one that also has the highest resolution. You'll be wanting to play a good looking game on a full HD resolution soon, believe me :D!

100% agree,at least for online multiplayer for sure.
Stereo headset is OK if you never had a gaming headset before but once you get used to a 'true' surround headset stereo doesnt cut it either.

I did'nt even see it as an option to get anything but full HD:rolleyes:
