PS4 Pre-orders from Sony.ca

I Pre-ordered a PS4 with sony at the sony store(sony.ca) June 2013

I Checked on my Pre-order with Sony.ca and found out that I will not get the PS4 for Launch Day Nov.15.

They will only ship them on Nov.15 or later.

Next time I will try to get one at walmart's Midnight Launch. Or Pre-order with different store.


(Please be assured that your order is still being processed and the first batch of PS4s will begin to ship out on Nov 15 (after launch).)

Go To EB games/ gamestop. you will get it launch day. They told me that Sony could deliver all their pre-orders no problem.

Is ther any way one can still get this console on the launch day? I am not sure if there is as it seems that they have sold most of their stock.

It will be difficult to find the console to get it on day one.
The only way to find a console will wait outside the stores.

There is little chance that pre-orders on the Internet leads you to have the console on the day of the release. This really is in the small shop and stores near you that you can preorder your console.

Good to hear. I've heard of some people who pre-ordered online from BestBuy and FS and haven't even got it yet. Yet I bought one last week on BestBuy.ca and mine will be here tomorrow morning.

I'm usually a retail person and though I don't live in Canada I do know Canadian gamers and a lot of them bought their consoles at Best Buys. I do know one gamer who lived in an area where their best buy had plenty of PS4's so they got their's without pre-ordering. Getting a console during launch is part luck, part ability to hunt down stores that have them.

It doesn't matter of i have to pay some extra bucks, but i always go for retail purchases when it comes to hardware as expensive as this. I don't care, i just want to make sure that what i get is what i am paying for, and that any problems will be my fault from then on.

Amazon all the way, seriously do not ever trust anything else. Other than actual retailers.

I like retail myself when it comes to console purchases especially if something happens and I need to exchange it. If you're buying day one or launch week consoles then retail is safer just because of the ability to return and exchange a buggy console. Though don't let you mom do that because I hear that Best Buy and Game Stop employees really talk down to them.
